Step 1 • Login as a user of your choice • See the list on slide 14 and in your workshop materials • Open the Home Work Center

• Open the Self Services Overview • Run Check my Computer Settings • The bottom right of the screen • Make adjustments as needed • MAC users will need Snow Leopard 10.6.5 • Note: Check my Computer Settings may also be done prior to login.

Choosing “Request/Assign User Certificate” will always sign you on as the same user.

Navigation Tips Do not use your browser back and forward buttons for navigation To login as two different users at one time, use two different browsers The moving yellow strip indicates that data is being retrieved There is usually more than one way to get to the same function

Search and Help Hints • You can search the entire system (on the left hand side) or • You can search context specific help (on the right hand side) • You can use the “wild card” symbol * to search

Other Hints • If you have just added a file or document to ByD, you may have to

click on “refresh” to see the new information in a list. • When modifying a list, click “go” Go

1. Locate the learning center and explore the various

modules available •

Note the difference between role-based learning assets and the SAP Business ByDesign learning center assets

Step 3 • Move one of the work centers to the end of the ribbon • Locate the Company Fact Sheet in the Help Center and

download it to your computer • Play one of the “Getting Started” recordings
