3- Alarm (Cont) 10- TRX Hardware Critical Alarm 11- Level 2 VSWR Alarm 12- Level 1 VSWR Alarm 13- Board Communication Alarm 14- DBUS alarm

1- Board Type Mismatch alarm

Description This alarm is reported when the board inserted into the slot is not the Antenna and GSM type. Reason Hardware: - Insert wrong GSM type and card name. EX: Inside we use GSM900 but we insert GSM1800. And BTS site use card GRFU, but in BSC site configure card DRFU. System: - GSM type at site and BSC site are difference type. - Board name at BTS site and BSC configuration are difference name. Solution

2- Cell out of service

Description This alarm is generated when the hardware is faulty or lock cell. Reason Hardware: - Faulty card DRFU/GRFU. - Module was damage - Card DDPU, DTRU broken. - TX cable loose connection or broken. System: (Click here for detail) - Lock cell or cell not active. - Software not activated.

3- Diversity receive alarm

Description - The alarm is reported when the gain of the diversity receive path smaller than that of the diversity receive path exceeds the relevant threshold. Reason Hardware: - The connection of the RF cable is loosened, broken, wrong configuration or damaged. -

The connection of Jumper is different Antenna port on BTS and BSC

3- Diversity receive alarm

Note: - In system configuration 1 One card DRFU have double feeders

2

1

2

One card DRFU have single feeder

2TRXs set Antenna mode (Sent Receive mode Double Feeder (2TX + 2RX)

4TRXs set Antenna mode (Sent Receive mode Single Feeder (1TX + 2RX)

4- Radio link prompt alarm

Description -

This alarm is reported when the BTS detects continuous RL abnormalities. The power level imbalance between uplink and downlink. It indicates that the uplink power level and the downlink power level deviate from each other greatly. Reason Hardware: ●

The connection of the RX cable is loosened, broken, wrong configuration or damaged. Card DRFU was damaged.

Software: (Click here for detail) -

Wrong Configure between BSC and BTS

5- TRX Communication alarm

Description - This alarm is reported when the TRX detects that the transmitting/receiving phase-locked loop or the test phase-locked loop in the TRX cannot output the required frequency. Reason - The connection of the Jumper cable is loosened or broken. - CPRI optic cable is loosened or broken. - Insert CPRI optic cable incorrect to the port of DRFU and GTMU port.

6- TRX Config Mismatch alarm

Description The alarm is reported when any of the following conditions occurs: (1) The frequency of the TRX is not consistent with the type of the TRX. (2) The static power of the TRX is lowered by the main control module to protect

Reason ●

-

-

Hardware:

Wrong GSM card (Bandwidth) (GSM900/1800) of Card DRFU/GRFU (Insert wrong GSM card) Insert wrong CPRI cable wrong slot on card GTMU.

6- TRX Config Mismatch alarm (Cont) Solution Software: ●

View alarm: Click on site name and than click on card of cell by right click on card DRFU/GRFU => View Site Board => Configure Site Board Attributes => View on Sent Receive Mode => Single Feeder (1TX + 2RX) Not: If you see this mode you must be change it to Double Feeder (2TX + 2RX) if site configured 2TRX. Solution: (Click here for detail) Right click on site at left panel => Configure Site Board Attribute => Configure Site Board Attribute => Configure Site Board Attribute = Sent Receive Mode (Double Feeder (2TX + 2RX)) => OK => OK

7- TRX VSWR alarm

Description -

-

This alarm is generated when the cables concerning the power output port of the TRX (TX1, TX2, TCOM) are not properly connected. This alarm is generated when the antenna jumper is not connected to the antenna port of the Carrier Module.

Reason - The cable between the power output port of the TRX and the power input port of the RF front-end unit (DDPU) is damaged. - The connection of the Jumper cable is loosened or broken.

8- VSWR Prompt alarm

Description - If the VSWR of the antenna system exceeds the Carrier Module VSWR warning alarm threshold, the VSWR warning alarm is generated. Reason - The connection of the Jumper cable is loosened or broken. - Carrier Module (DRFU) is faulty - Feeder, connector of feeder and antenna was faulty Solution

9- SFP Port Inconsistency Alarm

Description - The SFP port configuration on the RXU Chain of the BSC is inconsistent with the physical connection. Reason - Topology configuration on the SFP port is inconsistent with physical connection. - CPRI chain/ring on the SFP port is disconnected. - A CPRI port on the GTMU chain/ring on the SFP port is blocked. - Card DRFU faulty.

9- SFP Port Inconsistency Alarm

GTMU

BBU Interface

10- TRX Hardware Critical Alarm Description The alarm is reported when any of the following conditions occurs: 1.

2.

The TRX phase-locked loop is faulty, which causes the TRX unavailable. The power unit, power amplification unit, flash memory or RF module is faulty, which causes the TRX unavailable.

Reason: -.

Card DRFU/GRFU was damage.

-.

RF cable (CPRI) broken

-.

Card not run yet download software from BSC

11- Level 2 VSWR Alarm Description The DUP Unit reports a VSWR alarm when detecting that the VSWR on antenna port A or antennal port B is greater than Serious Standing Wave Radio Alarm Threshold (default Value: 3.0). Reason: ●

Hardware:

The  VSWR  of  the  antenna  system  is  too  high value. -

TRX Communication cable between card duplexer unit (DDPU) and card transceiver -

11- Level 2 VSWR Alarm (Cont) Solution: -

Check  the  connections  between  the  jumper  and  the  duplexer unite,  between  the  jumper  and  the  feeder,  between  the  jumper  and

the  surge  protection  unit,  and  between  the  jumper  and  the  antenna.   -

-

Check  whether  the  water  leaks  into  the  connectors  between  the  jumper  and  the  duplexer,  between  the  jumper  and  the  feeder Replace  the  connector  where  water  leakage

13- Board Communication Alarm Description This alarm is reported when the main controlling module detects abnormal communication between it and the radio frequency (RF) front module. Reason: Hardware: Card DDPU was broken. Power cable of DDPU connected to DAFU is broken. Communication cable between card DSCU and DCCU to the top DSCB card are broken or loose

14- DBUS alarm Description This alarm is reported when the DBUS clock of the TRX is abnormal or the TRX hardware detects that the DBUS signal sent by the main control module is lost. Reason: ●

Hardware:

DTRB Cable on card DSCU connected to DSCB are loose connection. Tran cable on card DCCU loose connection or broken.

Subrack of DTRU was damage.

The DBUS cable connected from Subrack DTRU
