It supersedes parts of BS 4466:1989 which has been revised and renumbered and published as BS 8666:2000. The UK participation in its preparation was entrusted by Technical Committee ISE/9, Steel for Concrete Reinforcement, to Subcommittee ISE/9/3, Bending and Scheduling of Concrete Reinforcement, which has the responsibility to: Ð aid enquirers enquirers to understa understand nd the text; text; Ð present to the responsible international/European committee any enquiries on the interpretation, or proposals for change, and keep the UK interests informed; Ð monitor related international and European developments and promulgate them in the UK.
