12 branches in Bazi...
Description
Every now and then in my in- box, box, I’ll get a question about the Graveyards. This topic seems to raise a great deal of confusion amongst BaZi student population. Since I got two emails on the topic over the weekend, I thought I would just knock out this quick explanation. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: this is not a subject without controversy. Different opinions exist on what the meaning of Graveyard, Storage and everything in between means. What I express here is not by any standards definitive but it is WHAT I KNOW K NOW AND WHAT I PRACTICE. I do not read Chinese books, and do not usually like to have profound debates about what ancient sages thought. If that is your interest, move the debate elsewhere. So on to the topic at hand.
By way of preamble, let’s get the mai n source of confusion out of the way. T he fundamental reason why there is a confusion over the term ‘Graveyard’ ‘ is a twofer: a) Grave is one of the Stages in the 12 Stages. (‘Grave’ and ‘Graveyard’ obviously is easy to confuse) b) Graveyard refers to both an Earthly Branch and also a position of an Element (i.e.: Yi Wood, Jia Wood etc) Further, there is a lack of awareness that the 12 Stages/Phases is different for BaZi and Feng Shui practice. There are subtle differences in the application – application – a a topic I will not address here so please ask someone else. In my teaching and practice of BaZi, I do not use the 12 Stages/Phases. As such, when I use the term ‘Graveyard’, I am referring to it in the context of (b) Now, back to the Graveyard. Graveyard. The Graveyard as an Earthly Branch Let’s make sure everyone is on the same page. T here are 12 Earthly Branches and they correspond to what most people know as the Chinese Zodiac. Now, the Chinese have a thing for categories, categories, and in Metaphysics, there is a particular
tendency to like over-lapping categories. So, something seemingly innocent like 12 Earthly Branches can spawn multiple categories. An Earthly Branch as such can be a) a mere Zodiac Animal b) belong to a Season (Spring/Summer/Autumn/Winter) c) Be part of a Combination (Three Harmony/Six Harmony) d) Be part of an Interaction (Punishment/Harm/Destruction) e) Carry a Shen Sha reference (Peach Blossom/Travelling Star/Graveyard (ah-ha)) For the purposes of this article, we are looking at (e). Four of the Earthly Branches are categorised as Graveyards: they are Dragon, Goat, Dog, Ox. (辰,未,戌,丑) They are classified as Graveyards because it is in these four Earthly Branches that an ELEMENT comes to an end as it were. Distinguishing the Branch and the Element The best way to distinguish between referring to a Graveyard Earthly Branch and the Element in the Graveyard is in the terminology. Typically, “Graveyard” references the Earthly Branch whereas “Enters Graveyard” references the Element
that is within the Graveyard Earthly Branch that has co me to an end. Now, at this stage, most people with some knowledge and understanding will note that the Graveyard Earthly Branches Branches all have two Sub-Qi Elements. For example in Dragon, there is Gui Water and Yi Wood as the Sub Qi. In Goat, there is Ding Fire and Yi Wood as the Sub Qi. Only one Sub-Qi element ENTERS THE GRAVEYARD. The other Sub-Qi element is in STORAGE. (ah-ha, take two). Now, refer back to the above list. An Earthly Earthly Branch can be categorised in multiple ways. Most people never realise that a Three Harmony Combination comprises of 1 Travelling Star, one Cardinal (Peach Blossom) and 1 Graveyard. The reason for the Graveyard’s presence is the STORAGE element, in the same way the reason for the Travelling Star’s presence is the element in Growth. That is why the Three Harmony Harmony combination is regarded as superior to six harmony because it comprises of the Branches that carry that that the Element produced by the Combination in three forms: – Growth Growth (defined as an element that has yet to rea ch its nadir and thus, is in ascent), – Cardinal Cardinal (defined as an element at its purest – notice notice all Cardinals are the peak of their respective seasons) – Graveyard Graveyard (specifically, the element in STORAGE, which represents the insurance policy of the element as it were) Example: Fire Frame Combination comprises of 寅, 午 and 戌. Tiger is the Growth of Bing Fire. Horse is the purest form of Fire Qi, being the peak of the season of Summer. Xu is the Storage of Fire. Significance of Growth/Graveyard/Storage I love Growth, G rowth, Graveyard and Storage Earthly Branches because they give a lot of bang for buck. Here’s how. – Growth – Growth tells me what a person’s potential in the f uture is. It references a skill that may well be unknown to the person
(some people are obtuse, without being dumb – there there is a difference). But more often, the Gro wth Star represents a skill/talent or gift in the person that with s ome encouragement – encouragement – and and I really mean, mean, a little bit is all all you need – need – has has the
potential to become great or very significant significant in the future. Of course, we love Wealth, Officer and Output in Growth for obvious reasons. – Graveyard – Graveyard tells me what the person’s secrets are, and what are the things in their life that must come to a n end or have come to an end. The presence of multiple graveyards always means a person with plenty of personal secrets. As much as people think this is a no- brainer (so what if they are secretive), it’s amazing how many people NEVER REALISE someone is secretive. Thus is the power of t he Earthly Branches. The theoretical knowledge of Graveyard, specifically knowing WHICH ELEMENT ENTERS GRAVEYARD IN WHICH EARTHLY BRANCH, is usually also used to forecast if someone who is ill and elderly is likely to survive the year. – Storage – Storage tells you what is in the person’s personal pers onal pantry as it were, but also references hidden skills which the person genuinely may not be aware they possess. Personally, I don’t put much credence on skills in storage – storage – they they take far too long to come out without the help of a combination. However, we do like Wealth in STORAGE (but not Wealth Entering Graveyard). To avoid persistent questions, here is the do wn and out of what element is truly in GRAVEYARD (meaning, comes to an end). Fr the technically obsessed, the way to derive the answer (because knowing why is important) is simple: the element that enters the Graveyard is the element that belongs to the s eason of the Graveyard Earthly Branch. Dragon: Yi Wood in Graveyard. Goat: Ding Fire in Graveyard Dog: Xin Metal in Graveyard Ox: Gui Water in Graveyard. Goat:

In Bazi analysis, the earth element is represented by the four branches; Chen Dragon, Wei Goat, Xu Dog and Chou Ox. They are called the four graveyards. It main function is stored excess Qi. If you are a great fan of Joey of Joey Yap, Yap, then you would have come across Nina Wang’s Bazi in his book, More Stories and Lessons on Feng Shui and Princess Diana’s Bazi in his book, Bazi the Destiny Decode Revealed .
For Nina Wang’s Bazi, her husband star represented by Yi Wood was found only inside the Wei Goat. Furthermore, she was born at the height of autumn which means her husband star, Yi Wood is extremely weak. In autumn season the metal element is the strongest while the wood element is considered dead. In addition, an element is considered buried inside the graveyard when it does not appear on the branch or stem. Such is the case for Nina Wang’s Bazi, whereby she countered his husband element. On April 1990, her husband, Teddy Wong, was kidnapped and never appear again. He was declared dead in 1999.
It is well-known that Diana, Princess of Wales had died in a freak accident in Paris in the year 1997. It was Ding Chou Year. She was also going through her 10 year Luck Pillar of Wu Xu. The Luck Pillar of Wu Xu and Annual Pillar of Ding Chou together with the Wei Goat in her Bazi form a Bullying Punishment. Three branches out of the Four Graveyards were involved. Guess what? The accident happened in the tunnel. In both cases the earth elements proved detrimental and brought about a sad outcome. So are you going to worry every time you go through an earth luck cycle in your Luck Pillar or Annual Pillar? Well, not until you have your Bazi chart consulted, then you decide. In our ordinary day to day life, the four graveyard can simply means you are some sort of a collector especially when the Chen Dragon, Wei Goat, Xu Dog or Chou Ox is located in your Spouse Palace. This is because the spouse palace can also represent your home, the place where where you stay. As I mention mention earlier the four graveyards graveyards are the storage storage of excess excess Qi. This means that you have a tendency to store or collect extra things in your home whether you do it as a hobbies or it is just a plain bad habit. So what kind of stuff you like to collect? Then we have to look at the extra Qi that found in the four graveyards. Each the four graveyards store beside the main qi also store two secondary qi in its branches. The qi is represented by the stems in the branches.
If you look at the secondary stems in the four graveyards, 癸 Gui Water, 乙 Yi Wood, 丁 Ding Fire and 辛 Xin Metal, are all yin elements in nature. Yin element carries the nature of softness and gives the impression of daintiness. Because of this, there is a desire to own and protect it. It is also beautiful and elegant to look upon. It also carries sentimental values by those who admired it. So what can these yin elements say about your collection?
Those who have Gui Water as a hidden stem will likely find an aquarium in their home that contain pretty fishes and bubbling oxygen. However nowadays it is hard to tell whether it is out of pure love of rearing firsh or the “kiasu” feng shui believers who try to find every way to fit an aquarium into their home as water to them are equivalent to wealth. You can also be wine collector and have wine cellar at home. In the olden China, there were people who buried a large bottle of wine in the ground outside the garden of their home. If their home had a daughter the wine was called “Nu er hóng” 女儿红 while for a son it will be called “Zhuàngyuán hóng” 狀元红. The wine will only be taken out for serving on the day the daughter was married and for the son when he passed the Imperial Examination and became an official of a state in China. During the olden day of China, people hardly move or travel about as much as the people today. They were more grounded at a place. Thus, it is likely that you would find an earth element in their Bazi charts although there isn’t any historical record on the matter. As wine is a beverage and therefore it can represented by Gui Water as well as x in metal element because of its addictive value. Both of the elements can be found in Chou Ox. Yi Wood can represents art collection like painting, books, stamps, earthenware and fashion. Those who have Ding Fire hidden element usually like to collect antique firearm or the latest model of hand guns and shot rifle. For Xin Metal hidden element, they are likely love to collect jewellery, coins and watches. Action figurines also come under Xin Metal element. As for me, I love books. My collection range from: fengshui, motivational, financial planning and investment investment books books written by Joey Yap, Yap, Dale Carnegie, Robert T. Kiyosaki Kiyosaki and Jim Rogers respectively. Every time I flip through the books, the authors never fail to enthrall me with their rich contents, many ideas and deep knowledge on the subjects they had written on. Each and every book has shown the authors’ passion as well as their belief on their works. It is like reading part and parcel of their mind and thought. Beside the heavy and serious stuff, I also enjoy romance novels. It contains heartfelt story that sometimes make you wanna cries, other times it bring a smile that spring deep from heart. Out of the five elements the water governs the intelligence, feelings, thoughts and emotions. Wood can represent innovation growths, publication and books. If you combined all those qualities that I have mentioned you will most likely see it in the Chen Dragon’s secondary hidden stems.
The Xu Dog collectible can be antique cars. In the Xu Dog it contains the secondary second ary element of Xin Metal and Ding Fire. These two elements are best represented by car as the car is power by the engine (fire element) and made of steel (metal ( metal element). element). Those who like to collect sport cars or antique cars will likely find the Xu Dog is in their Bazi chart. Those who like to collect antique firearm will also find Xu Dog in their Bazi chart as it has the same elemental value of a car. Do you see the beautiful photos below? Do you know how to capture such a stunning pictures? Do you see the light that that plays across the pictures? pictures?
It required skill photographers to capture such a spectacular photos. The camera filtered the harsh sunlight and only allow softer and gentler sunray to pass through and to capture the image into a photo. Can you see the Ding Fire and Yi Wood element in the picture? If you like photography and like to collect photos then you most likely find the Wei Goat in your Bazi chart. I will write about a person collection that lands him into deep trouble, later. So stay tune… Part II to be continue…
A Collection Gone Awry…
On June 2007 he has send his computer for repair. It proved to be costl y as he has no idea that the pictures save in his laptop is stolen until January 2008. In 2007, there was a Hai Pig (Annual Branch)-Shen Monkey (Year Branch) Harm Formation. Since it is located at the Year Branches the effect of the harm will only be felt at a later date and will have a long term effect. The Annual Pillar’s stem st em reveal Ding Fire. Ding Fire to Gui Day Master r epresents girlfriend(s). This indicated the harm involved and affected the women in his life. As the year of Hai Pig came to an end and the Zi Rat began to kick start star t the year of 2008, events began to unfold. In January 2008, his collectibles began to appear on the internet. Every possible possible search engine will pop up a link to his collectibles if you just type in his name and cli ck the search button. So what does he collects that make it so popular popular and so searchable? If we look at the Day Pillar we can see the Chou Ox at the home palace. In Part I, I, I have mention that since the t he Gui Water and the Xin Metal is found in the hidden stem of Chou Ox it is like the item that you may collect could be alcoholic beverages like maybe wine or champagne. However, a wine or champagne for that matter, would not have caused such uproar in the media. The collection was actually nude photos of him and girlfriends that c aused so much hooha! on the net as well as the media circle. It has caused waves of shock among his fans and humiliations to those who were once his old flames. His life was even threatened threate ned by gangster due to scandalous photos and this has caused much headache as well as nightmare to those t hose unwittingly drawn into this controversy. By now you would be able to guess who the fellow is. He is non-other non -other then Edison Chen and his many girlfriends are Cecilia Cheung, Gillian Chung and Bobo Chan to name a few.
Normally, I would classify the photos into art collection that is the element of Yi Wood. However However for the Edison’s case, it is not an ART (maybe to him, yes!). Why? Because it has more Gui Water and Xin Metal value than Ding Fire and Yi Wood value. The Gui Water and Xin Metal elements together formed an emotional attachment issue while Xin Metal itself likes to attract attention. It carries certain amount of snobbishness and vulgarity. On top of this, Xin Metal to a Gui Day Master person represents Indirect Resource. Indirect Resource Star when is strong denotes a person who like to seek comfort and pleasures. Hence, the photo collected was more for enjoyment and rather than it artistic artist ic or cultured value. However, this does not mean that everyone who has Chou Ox in their Bazi chart is a sexually addict or will get into the same trouble as Edison did. We have to look at other element that comes to play in one’s Bazi chart. In Edison’s Bazi chart, there is a Peach Blossom Star, You Rooster is sitting sitt ing at the month branch. The star itself is born in season. This means attractions attracti ons to the opposite sex are very strong. In addition, there is a Red Chamber Star located at the Shen Monkey (Year Branch). Again the star is in season because Shen Monkey main qi is metal. (Autumn month represent metal element) When you combined all this together it suggests a very high sexual drive person. Hence, it is not surprising that his hobby lean towards pornography. As we fast forward to year 2008, Wu Zi year is a year whereby you will see man y slimy, notorious, a darker side of personality and bad characters like cheat, thief and robbery come forth. Zi Rat is also another Peach Blossom. In Edison’s Bazi chart, Zi Rat came into Chou Ox and stolen away his collectibles and published it all over the net. In Bazi analysis, Zi Rat-Chou Rat -Chou Ox is combination that forms earth. However the combination did not take place in Edison’s chart as it is not conducive for producing earth. Hence, it prompted another action; in Bazi term it is called “combine away”. In Edison case, it is “stolen away”. awa y”. The Zi Rat (Luck Pillar & Annual Pillar) also c ame in the You Rooster (Month Pillar) and formed a sexual destruction. The Wu Zi Rat not only highlighted the scandalous episode of Edison life but also r eveal inadequate law to govern the net and protect the privacy of an individual. The police force in Hong Kong scrambled to solve the case as it revealed the loopholes and weakness in the cyber law much to the chagrin of the Hong Kong government. As we come to the last chapter of Wu Zi year, you might wonder what will it i nstall for us. So far it bring much uncertainties to world economy (U.S. (U.S. & Europe credit crunch and its chained effect), political instability in some countries (e.g. Thailand & Malaysia political uncertainty) and scandalous events like the case in Society-Generale’s Society-Generale’s banking to just name a few.
Do you notice that even the weather takes on Wu Zi characteristic? It rains late in the evening, in the dark! [Enigma]
Celebrity Birth Charts Celebrity Birth Charts BaZi (Four Pillars of Destiny) DESTINY Analysis on Steve Jobs’ AND Jobs’ AND WHITNEY HOUSTON’S Birth HOUSTON’S Birth ChartS _______________________ __________________________________ _______________________ ________________________ _______________________ _______________ ____ Date of Birth – Birth – 24 24 of February, 1955 at 19:15 STEVE JOBS – JOBS – Date Steve Job’s Four Pillars: Wu Pillars: Wu Earth Dog Hour, Bing Fire Dragon Day, Wu Earth Tiger Month, Yin Wood Sheep Year Passed away 10/5/11 Taking a pictorial method of reading Steve Jobs’ birth chart .
Steve Jobs 1955-2011 I see Steve Jobs’ Day Master Maste r of the Yang Fire Dragon as a picture of o f the Sun setting in early spring, in a lush green valley. It is a scene of vibrant trees, plants and flowers coming to life after winter has passed. As spring begins to emerge, the earth is bursting with new growth, growth, only to meet the coming of autumn when life begins winds down for winter. This is the Earth Tiger Month Pillar moving into Fire Dragon Day. There are rocky mountain ranges on either side of this valley (two Wus/Yang Earths on either side of the Day Master). There is hidden water which cannot be seen (Chen pulls in Shen of the water frame). The earth is rich with vegetation, minerals and gems, buried in the mountain (two Wus) and created from the Dragon in his day, pulling in Rooster to make gems or wealth into this chart. The combination equals gems buried beneath the rich soil. Buried in t he graveyard of the Dog is hidden illness which is a potential cancer aspect of a Dog/Xu branch. A big question is why Jobs made so much money and was a CEO when his chart does not have the wealth gods showing strong in the chart. Description of Bing Chen is – “Makes – “Makes money through the Dragon attracting attracting the Rooster. When it attracts attr acts the Rooster, it becomes wealthy.” wealt hy.” It pulls in Shen (Monkey) – (Monkey) – forming forming Shen Zi Chen and makes the water frame f rame which is the power or influence
element. Influence or Power element is one of the key factors that enables wealth generation. Bing Chen pulls wealth in through children. In Job’s case, his wealth attraction was from the younger generation to Apple products. This chart does not make money through direct contracts. It makes money through subcontracting. This told me the hidden metal in the chart is from pulling in the Rooster/You and the Monkey/Rat, forming a hidden water frame. A water frame makes the same polarity polarity as the Day Master. Ren to Bing is the 7Killings star. This gave him the officer element needed to become a big CEO. Jobs definitely exhibited the qualities of 7Killings Star. The 7 Killings Star was of good quality due to the Eating God (EG) in the chart as it modulated the negatives of 7K star and brought out the positives. The pulling in of elements that are not obviously there, has to be considered. The metal and water is then activated in the luck cycles and years. As stated, his wealth came from his big following of young people. As the Tiger/Yin in the month represents the oldest son and is a growth star, this indicates the attraction of young people people to him. Job’s was Executive Producer for the 3 Toy Story movies which one received the Best Animated Oscar. It is was because of Toy Story, this award was created. This was when Dog/Xy showed up in 1995. 1995. He was Executive Producer for 15 years, producing: A Bug’s Life, Finding Nemo, Monsters, Incredibles, Ratatouile, Cars, etc. These are all creative endeavors targeted at children. The Dog/Dragon (Xu/Chen) Clash brought him money and power also because when there is a cla sh, if the clash kicks out a favorable f avorable or element that helps out the chart, you will see the positives of it and vice versa if the element ele ment is a negative god. In the Dog/Dragon clash, Xin/Yin Metal and Kui/Yin water get kicked out because Ding/Yin Fire and Yi / Yin Wood are stronger in the chart so they t hey kick out water and metal. Clashes are only onl y bad if they clash out a negative God. Still, there would have been side effects from the clash. This is one chart that benefits from clashes along with side effects. When wealth is hidden in a graveyard branch, it is commonly called a “wealth pot.” See below about clashes and years big things came to Jobs. The Dog/Xu is the spear and a fighting spirit. They fight to get what they want. They love challenges, like to climb mountains. Life to them is about conquering obstacles/challenges. they love it. As Xu is in hour, it is reflected in what he creates, his thoughts and ideas. Lots of bloodshed, bc the y have illness inside, have uranium inside, illness. Relationships are not so good because they tend to be lonelier (as the Dog/Xu is a graveyard branch). As this is a mineral mountain, people come to the mountain to get the minerals. The Earth Tiger (Wu Yin) month pillar is described as huge tall mountains that gathers and grows without limit. Trees and vegetation vegetation are abundant. Tiger is the growth of earth. Wu Yin is the tallest mountain and to mountain, is number number one. The will retire at the top. Then they are always number one. The Tiger/Yin finds younger people more attractive because Yin is youth, the Gen Gua. Rob Wealth, the competing star is in a graveyard of the Dog. It can’t hurt a person because it is buried and can’t come out. It is only possible when the branch is cl ashed on by a year. Then Rob Wealth star st ar can take from the person. It is easy to lose l ose wealth at that time. In any case, Jobs figured out how to make fans out of his Rob Wealth, so instead, he gained from his slew of fans. BING WITH REN BECOME MILLIONAIRES. This is the image of the Sun shining brilliantly over the ocean. The Ocean/Ren came from pulling in Shen Zi Chen water fram e. This would mean, he or his estate can become richer now that he is in Ren Luck Cycle. This is a result of the young people, his “fans” – the the REN in the water frame turns him into an iconic legacy. legac y.
For Sun/Bing to be born in the Tiger/Yin month – where where Earth is in abundance, this Day Master shall belong to an intelligent and wealthy person, one who is exceptionally talented. Earth is the output and Eating God is talent and the Tiger/Yin makes things grow. Eating God is the s trategist, the long-term thinker/creator, the one who can also implement plans. Gods inside Growth stars (Tiger, Snake, Monkey, Pig) are critical. It means the t he gods inside the will grow as a person ages. And, Tiger/Yin is in the career palace! The same gods in graveyards will act entirely different. Fire is not very strong in Tiger/Yin because it is transition between winter and spring. Sun is beginning to exert strength. Ocean/Ren does not not control the Sun/Bing. The ocean allows Sun to shine shine and simmer on the surface of Water. Here is an example where the Day Master is not afraid of the 7Killings star. 7Killings can be dangerous for a Day master – master – (i.e. (i.e. Whitney Houston) especially if it is too strong and of bad quality. When it is too strong and no there is no Eating God to modulate and calm it down, it can become dangerous and very negative. If there i s no Eating God, you want Hurting Officer (although not optimum as they are same polarity) or Direct Resource. Yin wood (in the year stem) makes this Day Master a learned and knowledgable person. Earth lets wood grow. There is a aspect in BaZi called Direct Officer and 7Killings in confusion. This is when 7Killings and Direct Officer are mixed into the same pillar or are next to each other in the branches and stems. This is a situation you do not want to see, EXCEPT when it is a Geng DM born in the Rooster/You. Then you want to see both Bing/Yang and Ding/Yin fire. It’s worse if the branches show harms or destructions, punishments. The thing about Yin (Jia), this is Steve Ste ve Job’s Indirect Resource. Indirect Resource are unconventional thinkers. They can solve problems when others give up. No wonder Apple’s products were of a different quality, a level way beyond the average, a Blue Ocean if you will. Jia/Yang Wood is also intelligence, artistic and wisdom. And as a growth star, the quality qualit y of it grows, unlike if Indirect Resource was Metal – Metal – Indirect Indirect Resource in metal would make it a thinker who is different – different – in in organization, rules oriented, very structured, more linear in thought, but still non conventional. You have to interpret the god god against the element. i.e a Yi/Yin Wood Hurting Hurting Officer is different that Geng/Yang Metal Hurting Officer . Yi Hurting Officer is not harsh, with a much kinder approach. It will still go around the problem li ke a plant and will avoid confrontation. A Hurting Offier which is Geng – Geng – will will come off like an axe – axe – harsh harsh and chopping, not merciful, like a policeman or military person which metal represents. Additionally Yin Earth/Ji inside branch of the Sheep/Wei makes this DM belong to a skillful, knowledgeable person. Yin Earth enables him to achieve a high level of success, authority and status in life. This is because Yin Earth harbors 10 talents. Bing (Sun) make plants grow because earth needs heat to warm the earth to make things grow. Jobs had Yin Wood/Yi on top of this Sheep/Wei. While dry, it works when kui shows (in Dragon/Chen) and the Dragon/Chen and Tiger/Yin spring seasonal frame. Imagine the Sun who has 10K talents – how how omnipotent will they believe themselves to be? The reason for Yang Water/Ren and Yang Metal/Geng to be Useful Gods is, “Ren can never be separated from Bing and Geng can never be separate d from R en.” en.” This is because the Sun/Bing is happiest when shining over the Ocean/Ren. Yang Metal/Geng makes more water. As Fire’s strength is determined by the hour and not the season (it’s the only Day Master this is true), the Sun/Bing wants to see the Ocean/Ren in any season. With Bing, its strength depends on the day time hours as that is only onl y when it can show itself. Yin Fire/Ding wants to be born in night hours as that is only when it can give light. The Sun/Bing is afraid of no one ex cept the Rooster/You. Bing and Xin combines Bing away to make water. The Bing person is lost.
Bing is not afraid of autumn or winter. It can survive both. The Sun/Bing is afraid of no one except the sunset (rooster hour, Xin is the sunset). When you see the sunset, the sun is gone. Once Bing sees Xin, it is destroyed. It is equal to Bing seeing the beautiful girl (Dui/Xin). When Bing sees Xin, it merges to water. This is especially true of men. They can lose everything because of scandals. Bing has to be careful about being too greedy for money as the whole career can collapse overnight because of scandals and dark secrets can destroy them. They have to watch their back. The Sun is omnipotent and rules the universe. This influence with 5 Eating Gods and one Hurting Officer in the year pillar, made Jobs very strong in self belief. He was described as a demanding perfectionist (Eating God characteristic), aggressive, demanding personality and leading egomaniac. He was listed by Fortune 500 as one of America’s toughest bosses. These attributes could easily be understood when you see the combination of Sun, Hurting Officer and hidden 7Killings and the fighting spear of the Dog/Xu. A combination of these qualities are characteristics of strong leaders of this stature. Jobs was in Rooster/You year when he died and in Yang Water Monkey or Ren Shen Luck Cycle. You might ask, why did he die when he hit the Luck Cycle where he gets a full complement of his Useful Gods? It can be compared to Michael Jackson, John Lennon and Bruce Lee, who became more famous and wealthy in death. Death is not necessa rily bad luck when viewed from this perspective. It is like Jobs becoming more famous in death and his estate was quite wealthy at the time of death. Here are some years with important events in Jobs ’ life. You draw the conclusions: 1971 – Jobs Jobs meets his partner Wozniak – Wozniak – Rat/Zi Rat/Zi year. Apple is launched. Steve Jobs is Chairman of Board at 20 – Ox/Chou Ox/Chou month, Dog/Xu 1/24/84 – Apple Year. 4/24/84 Apple IIC is launched but doesn’t make it big. Dragon/Chen month, Dog/Xu year.10/2003. Jobs got cancer in Oct. Sheep/Wei year, Dog/Xu month. 1985 – Pig/Hai Pig/Hai year. He loses battle with his board. He is removed and quits Apple in Oct (Dog/Xu). You would have thought though Hai would be good year year because of Yang Water/Ren. Wat er/Ren. Jobs marries Laurene Powell 3/18/1991 – Jobs 1997 Rat/Zi year, he became interim CEO of Apple when it was facing bankruptcy (Monkey/Rat/Dragon or Shen/Zi/Chen frame). It returned to profitability in 1998. 1998 Ox/Chou clashes Sheep/Wei and water and metal are kicked out again. Ox/Dog/Sheep form bullying punishment. The The lash works for him in both cases. Just not for his health. Interesting, he gets all three. Money, power and bad health. 1/24/06 – Dog/Xu Dog/Xu year, Ox/Chou month – month – Disney Disney buys Pixar (Jobs’ Company) Compan y) for for 7.4 Billion. Jobs becomes biggest share hold in Disney. Again we see the Ox/Sheep or or chou/wei and the Dragon/Dog or chen/xu clash – clash – both both kicking out metal and water. 2001 he had legal problems with his stocks. s tocks. Sheep/Wei year. RoKR 81released – 81released – Rooster/You Rooster/You year 2005 – RoKR Ox/Chou mo. Pig/Hai year – new new IPhone comes out 1/9/09 – Ox/Chou 6/29/07 – version version 7.3 Itunes released Ox/Chou month, into a Rat/ Zi Year (metal money again). Mac Book Air is l aunched. Also 1/15/08 – Ox/Chou class action suit for securities fraud against the Board Of Directors. 2008 – IPhone IPhone 3G released. people – new new Iphone is launched 6/7/2010 Tiger/Yin year brings in young people – 2012 – Jobs Jobs is worth 8.3 Bill, 42nd wealthiest American Addendums Are clashes good or bad? When a clash kicks out a Use or Favorable God for a person, it is a good thing and bad if it kicks out a negative god. Every god we evaluate has to analyzed in relationship to the Useful God. We have to look at season of birth as it is the strongest element and that inform us what the Useful God is, along with what each DM likes.
Whatever the Useful God, you measure all the combinationss, clashes, destructions, harms and punishments against it. If the Useful God is harmed, it is bad. if the Useful God is helped, you you get the positive. You can get the good and bad of any of these combinations. i.e. a third party comes comes in and ends up causing a divorce. If the spouse element i s negative for you, the harm becomes a good thing, although painful to go through. through. Have you ever heard people who get divorced divorc ed say, “I should have done that a long time ago?” This can be true of a job that does not serve you. You have a bad ending, but the departure is better for you. As for great wealth vs just wealth, infinite wealth from a combination allows one to become super rich vs just do ok. Note: Many things in Jobs’ life were “secret.” See link to 60 min. posthumous posthumous interview. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504803_162-20124357-10391709/steve-jobs-family photo-album/.. photo-album/ The “secrecy.” was because he had 3 graveyard branches. Jobs was given up for adoption by his mother and father who was Syrian and the mother’s parents objected to the relationship in 1955 (Sheep/wei year given up and adopted = bully punishment). Mother is Direct Resource, buried i n the Sheep/Wei graveyard. Father is Indirect Wealth is not in the chart at all. If you take Direct Wealth as Father, that is buried in Dog/Xu. His half sist er is Yin Fire/Ding buried in the same branches. Did anyone ever hear about his wife and children? Children are buried in Dragon/Chen, wife in Dog/Xu. This gives some indication what happens when gods are buried in the grave yard branches. Want to see your own BaZi birth chart? See this link: http://www.masteryacademy.com/resources/onlinetools.asp
Songbird Whitney Houston Whitney Houston: 9 August 1963, 20:55 of Whitney Houston’s BAZI Houston’s BAZI – – for for Practitioners Date of Birth: 9 August 1963, 20:55
This is a special chart. chart . All metal, water and wood. Although there is some Eart h in the Dog/Xu, Dog/Monkey or Xu/Shen is the season of metal. The little fire in Dog/Xu cannot combine with Mao because of the two Monkeys/Shens in between. There There is no root in the Heaven Stems throughout her her life to give support to the fire. All her luck cycles are metal, water, wat er, wood.
Whitney had the chart of a 7Killings Structure with a host of the most extreme extr eme gods in a BaZi that we do not like see as it will give you a hard life. Very few of the gods are of the benevolent breed, i.e. Eating God, Direct Wealth, Direct Resource and Direct Officer, the gods that make a chart find equilibrium. Houston is a good live example of too strong of 7Killings with Indirect Resource, Hurting Officer and why that can kill you. You prefer to not see s ee more than one 7Killings star in a chart. When you see a 7K, you immediately want to se e an Eating God star because that is what controls the extremes of the 7Killings characteristics. It calms the destructiveness of the 7Killings star. Houston’s chart had no Eating God, hence the protection from the 7Killings star “attacking” the self. If we take the pictorial method, m ethod, what do you see? Houston was a Yang Wood/Jia Day Master. Jia is i s associated with the great oak tree. A tree’s purpose in life is all about a bout growth and expansion. It’s spirit is to provide cover for people, to give shade from the heat of the sun, to grow and provide nourishment in the form of edible fr uit, to provide a gathering place. The image of a tree is one with roots penetrating deep into the ground, with a strong trunk and vibrant leaves flourishing. And, on some occasions, blossoms with fruit. Rooted, a tr ee can live a long life, for thousands of years like l ike a redwood. The Yang Wood Monkey or Jia Shen is powerful because it sits on a 7Killings star. Their favorite hobby is using the mouth, either talking or singing. ( eg, Elvis Presley and Britney Spears ar e Jia Shen). Jia Shen is described as extinct wood, the image of a tree that is being chopped down and falls into the water, should there be water to moisten the wood. Otherwise, it is solid as metal and stone. Withered wood meeting with flowing water is auspicious. Look at her Yang Water/Ren and Pig/Hai in her 2 Luck Cycles, 19- 28, 29-38 years. This is when she reach st ar status. The wood will fully wither when meeting with a cold and hot object at the same time. Yang Wood Monkeys are more talented. They can reall y sing and dance because Yang Wood has no roots, so the legs move ( eg Elvis, Britney Britne y Spears). The Monkey/Shen represents movement of legs and because it is seen as cutting feet of the tree, not allowing a llowing the roots to sink down. They are always moving. Yang Wood Monkey is without roots so breaks down suddenly and it can be serious and dangerous. The tree is very fragile in nature – nature – a a breakdown will be serious. (eg Elvis and Spear). Yang Wood Monkeys live shorter lives because they have no roots. Wood is extinct in monkey stage. It is metal that counters the wood. This person will see at least one accident in their lifetime, car accident likely. Because Yang Wood (tiger) clashes with the monkey. Yang Wood Monkeys/Jia Shen is not good with relationships because 7Killings nature and alwa ys moving, very fragile with no roots. 7Killings is explosive in relationships, because metal makes the earth empty. Earth is trustworthiness. Then there are the aggressive attributes of the 7Killings star. My thoughts: The tree of this chart is without roots and branches, standing alone with a companion, but neither can help the other. This is nature of autumn wood born in a dead season. Wood does not grow in autumn. The leaves begin to fall and prepare for dormancy as it begins to see winter. The Yin Metal/Xin in Dog/Xu and Yang Metal/Geng in the two Monkeys/Shen and stem, cut the legs and arms of the tree, not allowing the tree tr ee to find its purpose in life, which is to root into the ground and to grow branches. This tree had a companion, but both her and the companion are surrounded by axes and yin metal. The two elements a tree needs for lasting growth is water and sun. The water that is desperately
needed is far away and prevented from reaching the tree. If this is a special structure, fire would be bad. However, what happens to a chart absent of fire? Fire brings happiness, happiness, joy. Normally wood needs sun to to encourage growth. But in this case, it would make this wood brittle and break. Heat to dry wood. So Water is better. However, we were taught a chart without sun struggles to find joy and happiness. If you look into the luck cycles you see Houston survived by the water showing up, which the Jia Shen pillar likes. However, even when the Useful God was there, there was always the extreme gods, so an extreme life. The sun never shined for Whitney in her entire l ife. But it might have killed her earlier anyway. So she lived and achieved fame but, happiness was elusive. Her final luck cycle of Yin Wood W ood Ox or Yi Chou is seen as snow on the ground and roots withering from the metal inside. The person starts but something but doesn’t finish. Houston was trying to make a come back. The first year of a LC is always stressful. stress ful. She was one year into her new Luck Cycle (based on her Aug birthday). In the Ox/Chou the earth is frozen, no more wate r flowing. 2012, the Yang Water Dragon or Ren Chen is a flood of water. The Monkey/Dragon or Shen/Chen is a semi trio of the water frame. What happened? The water came but it is frozen solid water. wat er. So no more movement for this Jia Shen lady. Additionally the Dragon/Dog or Chen/Xu clash results in the loss of something. Dragon/Chen and Rabbit/Mao are a destruction, when you are forced to make a decision due to circumstances. I loved Whitney’s spectacular spectacular voice as we all did. You wonder how a chart like this makes a voice so melodious. Is it because the pillar pilla r is a talker and without wit hout roots, so the voice roars into the heavens? In closing, I had the image of a singing sin ging bowl with a dry wood instrument. Have you ever hear the harmonic vibration of a singing bowl?
