Jack Sparrow Voodoo Doll Template - Instructions Extra - do ahead: String together beads on thread for Jack’s hair beads. 1. Print the Jack Sparrow Voodoo Doll template and cut out all the shapes. 2. Using the templates as guides, cut out all the pieces from the corresponding color felt. Make sure to cut out the appropriate number of peices needed for each part. 2 bodies - beige felt 2 jacket fronts - dark blue felt 1 jacket back - dark blue felt 4 jacket cuffs - dark blue felt 2 pants - dark blue felt 1 shirt - off-white felt 1 waist sash - off-white felt 1 waist sash extension - off-white felt 1 chest belt - light brown felt 1 waist belt - light brown felt 4 boots - light brown felt 4 boot cuffs - light brown felt 2 belt buckles - grey felt 1 head scarf - red felt 1 head scarf back - red felt 1 head scarf back extension - red felt 1 hair - black felt 1 hair extension - black felt 1 vest - light blue felt 3. Start by stuffing the body. To do this, you will work from the head down, making pockets by gluing the body top and bottom together in sections and filling with cotton as you go. Using a hot glue gun, run glue along the edge of the head, stopping at the neck. Place the second body directly on top of the first and press so the glue sticks. Next, pull off a small piece of cotton ball and stuff inside the head. Now put glue along the edges of the neck, then stuff with more cotton. Continue this pattern with each arm, the chest, and the torso, stopping to stuff each piece with cotton before moving on to the next. To finish, glue the legs together. There is no need to stuff the legs. Cut slits for fingers at the end of the arm, about a half inch long. (Note: If stuffing the body is too difficult, you can just glue the front and back pieces together.) 4. Next, glue the shirt directly on top of the body. 5. Glue one pant to the back of the body. Then glue the second pant to the top of the body, sealing the pant edges together with the hot glue gun. Sealing the pant edges will keep the body from showing on the sides. 6. Glue the vest to the top of the shirt. 7. Glue the waist sash across the shirt. 8. Glue the waist belt at an angle across the sash and shirt. Glue a buckle to the middle of the belt. 9. Glue the waist sash extension over the belt to hang at his side. 10. Glue the chest belt across the chest from his right shoulder to his left side. Glue the buckle onto the middle of the belt. 11. Glue the jacket back to the back of the body. Now glue the left jacket front to Jack’s left side, sealing the top and bottom jacket edges with the hot glue gun. Sealing the edges will keep the body and vest from showing on the edges. Repeat with the right side jacket front. 12. Glue one cuff to the back of the jacket at the wrist. Glue a jacket cuff to the front, sealing the edges with hot glue. Repeat this with the remaining cuffs on the other side. © Disney

Jack Sparrow Voodoo Doll Template - Instructions 13. Glue a boot to the back of the body/pants. Glue a boot to the front of the same leg, sealing the boots together along the edges with hot glue. Repeat this with the other side. Glue a boot cuff to the back boot. Glue a boot cuff to the front of the boot, sealing the back and front edges with hot glue. Repeat this on the other side with the remaining two boot cuffs. 14. Glue the hair to the back fo the head so a little of the hair sticks up over the top of the head. If you would like to add the hair beads, this is the time to do so. Glue the top of the threaded beads to the left side of the doll’s head so the beads hang down past the neck. Glue the front head scarf across the forehead, leaving a little of the hair to stick up over the top. Glue the back head scarf and the back head scarf extention to the back of the head. Glue the hair extension to the front on the doll’s right side so it hangs over the head scarf. 15. Using the body template as a guide, draw Jack’s face on the doll using a thin black marker. Your Jack Sparrow Voodoo Doll is now complete. Be nice to him!
