INTRODUCTION The BK-4A riser platform is located in the White Tiger Oil Field, approximately 145km SouthEast of Vung Tau City of Vietnam. The BK-4A riser platform is connected to the existing BK4 platform via linking bridge. The BK-4A riser platform consists of topside and jacket. It is able to receive gas - condensate at low pressure condition from the Thien Ung Platform (BK-TNG) via NCS-2 pipeline (phase 1) and transport to BK-4 riser platform via linking bridge. One Pig receiver 26" is installed on the topside of BK-4A platform to receive pig launched from BK-TNG platform via the NCS-2 pipeline (Phase 1).

Wall Thickness Calculation for Pipeline from Hanger Flange of Riser to Pig Receiver (03 Pages – Including this page)

APPENDIX 1- WALL THICKNESS CALCULATION FOR PIPELINE FROM HANGER FLANGE OF RISER TO PIG LAUNCHER/RECEIVER Project No.: Contract No: Client: Vietsovpetro Joint Venture (VSP) Project: Modification at White Tiger Field to Receive Gas From Thien Ung, Dai Hung Fields BK4A Platform Subject: Wall Thickness Calculation per ASME B31.8-2010 Calculation Objective To calculate and determine the wall thickness of pipeline as per ASME B31.8-2010 The analyzed case is a part of 26" offshore pipeline from hanger flange of riser to pig receiver

Calculation Method Wall thickness is calculated in accordance with ASME B31.8 Clause 842.2.2 The calculated minimum thickness is rounded up to next standard thickness as per API 5L

Reference ASME B31.8, 2010 - Gas Transmission and Distribution Piping Systems API 5L, 2007- Specification for Line Pipe, 44th Edition

Conclusions The selected wall thickness for Modification at White Tiger Field to Receive Gas From Thien Ung, Dai Hung Fields BK4A Platform satisfies the requirement of B31.8 for offshore gas pipeline pipeline. Based on detailed calculation, it's recommended to select wall thickness for entire offshore gas pipeline is 15.9 mm
