MATLAMAT (GOALS): To provide knowledge, understanding and exposure to students regarding concrete engineering and concrete mix design. HASIL PEMBELAJARAN (LEARNING OUTCOMES): Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. describe concrete durability and deterioration of concrete against chemical attack and its relation to permeability and corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete
2. create mix design of different types of concrete for specific applications 3. work effectively in teams offering innovative solutions to concrete durability problems
SINOPSIS (SYNOPSIS): Concrete is the most widely used composite material in the construction industry. This course exposes student to the advancement of concrete engineering and different concrete mix design methods. The scope of this course includes concrete durability, chemical attack and corrosion mechanisms. Besides that, lightweight concrete, blended cement concrete, special concrete, concrete mix design and concrete repair are covered. ISI KANDUNGAN (CONTENT): BAB (CHAPTER) 1.0
