Self-Assessment
BCSP CERTIFICATIONS’ SELF-ASSESSMENTS
The Self-Assessments are a series of publications developed by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) to assist candidates in evaluating their level of knowledge in examination blueprint areas. Each BCSP certification — the CSP, ASP, OHST, CHST, STS/STSC and CET — has its own Self-Assessment.
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
Content Includes: Examination Blueprint Blank Answer Sheet Self-Assessment Questions Answer Key References and Calculations Blueprint References
Why Self-Assessment: Both the Examinations’ and Self-Assessments’ questions are designed based on the percentages indicated for each “Domain” in the examinations’ blueprints. Candidates can utilize the Self-Assessment to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses, strategize test-taking pace, and plan future studying accordingly. No question in the Self-Assessment will appear on the actual examination.
Additional Resources: BCSP lists examination blueprints and examination review and preparation service providers at bcsp.org/ Resources/Review-and-Study-Sources. BCSP neither evaluates nor endorses providers’ materials, and does not provide training itself. To understand the certification process thoroughly, please download the Complete Guide available on each certification’s webpage (i.e., the Complete Guide to the CSP at bcsp.org/CSP).
Order Online: Visit bcsp.org, click on “My Profile,” and select “Purchase Self-Assessment” once logged in.
