Introduction   Welcome to my no holds barred, straight up Bad Bitches guide to Tarot.   Cleansing​ ​and​ ​Charging​ ​Your​ ​Deck You​ ​can​ ​welcome​ ​your​ ​new​ ​Tarot​ ​deck​ ​into​ ​your​ ​space​ ​by​ ​performing​ ​rituals​ ​such​ ​as: ● ● ●

A Cleansing Ritual - conduct a smoke ritual with sage, santo palo, herbs and grasses to clear​ ​the​ ​energy​ ​in​ ​the​ ​cards. A Charging Ritual - leave it on a closed window sill under the light of a Full Moon. I also place​ ​clear​ ​quartz​ ​crystals​ ​on​ ​top​ ​of​ ​my​ ​decks​ ​while​ ​they​ ​charge. An Intention Ritual - do an elemental blessing or ritual stating the work that you would like​ ​to​ ​with​ ​your​ ​deck.

You also want to cleanse and charge your deck when they become heavy with energy, or your readings are confusing. If you use your deck regularly, a good practice is to charge it under the light​ ​of​ ​every​ ​full​ ​moon,​ ​or​ ​in​ ​the​ ​sun​ ​every​ ​month.

They are presented in a specific order as they tell the story of our soul’s experiences in life; the archetypes we meet, and the impact they have and we have on them. They are the major lessons​ ​and​ ​initiations​ ​we​ ​will​ ​have​ ​the​ ​opportunity​ ​to​ ​learn​ ​from​ ​in​ ​this​ ​lifetime. Often extra importance is given to these cards when they come up in a reading. The​ ​Court​ ​Cards The Tarot Court Cards are the personalities and people of the deck. Therefore, they represent the​ ​people​ ​in​ ​our​ ​lives,​ ​and/or​ ​the​ ​way​ ​in​ ​which​ ​we​ ​act​ ​and​ ​interact​ ​with​ ​life. When the Tarot Court cards come up in a reading they will mean either: a person that is connected to the question; you or the situation; or an aspect of yourself that is coming into play.
