Everything3D™ Laser Interface  To import the Laser Model Database first create a zone.  From the FluentTM UI Home Tab select Access Laser to import the Laser Model.

 Select the Training Data Laser Model Data Set (GT_TRA.lfd) via the Browser that is displayed.  This action will create an XGEOM (External Geometry) under your zone.  The Laser Data will be added to your display. You may need to adjust your limits. Slide 8

Laser Interface – Bubble View  The Bubble View is a photographic 360 degree representation of the Laser Data taken from the Camera Positions.  There are 2 methods for displaying the Bubble Views and these are selected from the 3D Display.

 Selecting “Options” will allow you to set a Region of Interest and graphically adjust the limits by simply dragging the arrows of the limits box.

 Select “Low Density Points” to remove Laser Data outside of your limits. Slide 12

Laser Interface – Laser Tab cont’d

 “Polygon Fence” can be used to Clip Laser Data.  “Display Reset” will display all of the Laser Data.  The “Tools” section of the Laser Tab is the same as the Laser Model Interface (LMI) and will allow to create graphic aids and to add Design Points which can be used to position the Heads and Tails of your Pipe Branches.  The “Measure” section is used to obtain Pipe OD’s, Clearances and Laser Point Positions.
