Company Overview PepsiCo is a world leader in convenient snacks, foods and beverages. PepsiCo is home to hundreds of brands around the globe; such as Lays, Quacker, Doritos; from its own cola product until its partnership with Starbucks. PepsiCo is committed to "Performance with Purpose". Simply put, this means doing business the right way: operating responsibly with integrity and with high ethical standards. Their Worldwide Code of Conduct embodies those principles. It is PepsiCo's statement of how we expect their employees to do business. The Code of Conduct provides guidance for dealing with other employees, customers, suppliers, their shareholders, the public and their competitors in an ethical and appropriate manner. The Code of Conduct, by its very nature, cannot describe every possible situation that their employees may experience. What it does provide is the foundation for the Purpose behind their Performance.

Values The values and the philosophy reflect the company responsible for that they aspire to be both socially and environmentally. These principles are the heart of every decision they make. They consider themselves as individuals and as a company, responsible for everything they do. They believe that they must continue to earn trust they received. In everything they do, they strive for honesty, fairness and integrity. 

 

The search for optimal solution for company, the customers, the consumers, and the world in which they live and operate. Although they have developed the spirit of intense competition in the market, their success is based on thorough of customers, consumers and communities The sale of products which they are proud. The true test of the strength of their principles and values is their own ability to consume the product they sell. They defend the quality of their products: the purchase of ingredients to consumptions. Honesty and sincerity in everything they do. Consideration of short and long term. Before making a decision, they evaluate the risk and benefit in the short and long term. Maintaining this balance, they support their growth and offer ideas and solution that they are profitable.

The emphasis on diversity and inclusion. They welcome, in each of their business, people with different character, background and opinion. Their diverse workforce opens new perspectives, stimulates innovation and enhances their ability to find new market. Mutual respect and achieve results as a team. Their mutual success is based on mutual respect inside and outside the company. Their employees must work together as a team or informal collaboration. Although their company culture promotes individual excellence, it also recognizes the importance and value of teamwork to achieve the objectives.

Vision Our vision is put into action through programs and a focus on environmental stewardship, activities to benefit society, and a commitment to build shareholder value by making PepsiCo a truly sustainable company. The vision of a company lays out some desired future state. The vision of PepsiCo is already leading to long term where they have always held the view to improving all sorts of aspects of the world. However the vision of PepsiCo is less precise on the side of the business that run by PepsiCo. The vision should always be closely related to the business undertaken by a company such as Nokia with its vision of "if it can go mobile, it will" (Nokia’s vision implied that not only would voice technology go mobile but also a host of other services based on data, such as imaging and internet browsing). PepsiCo, company engaged in the food and beverages, should have a vision that can drive the business to get a competitive advantage. On the other hand, the vision of PepsiCo also hit on the effects of their production which is related to the environment. Therefore, the vision of PepsiCo should not only longterm, but also should be tailored to the business in which they run so that PepsiCo can keep their business survive. Mission Our mission is to be the world's premier consumer Products Company focused on convenient foods and beverages. We seek to produce financial rewards to investors as we provide opportunities for growth and enrichment to our employees, our business partners and the communities in which we operate. And in everything we do, we strive for honesty, fairness and integrity. Pepsi Co’s reason for existence is clearly described in the first sentence of their Mission statement. They state exactly what they are involved in (Convenient foods) and outline their desired state to be the premier consumer products company in that market sector (visionary component.) This mission statement seems more product based as opposed to customer based. As far as the customer goes, words such as “provide customers with” for example seem to be omitted. In contrast, The Coca Cola Company’s first part of their mission statement is to “refresh the world”. This seems more customer orientated as it states its desires to refresh essentially its customers (the world)

The inclusion of the financial goals and growth opportunities are coming from their commitment to employees and business partners. This states to the financial shareholders that the employees are also an important vital piece of the company’s reason for growth. Finally their values are included by which they operate and carry out their business. This can also be part of the visionary statement.
