Gracias a su diseño modular, el R&S BTC puede ser optimizado para realizar una gran variedad de tareas. Esto permite ahorrar ya que evita la necesidad de costosos e interminables setups de medida que requieren de varios equipos de prueba. La función integrada de control de la secuencia de medida automática reduce los tiempos de medida. Las pruebas repetibles permiten llevar a cabo las medidas de certificación de forma rápida y fiable. Una de las principales tareas a la hora de desarrollar equipamiento de broadcast es medir el equipo en condiciones reales y complejas de interferencias. El R&S BTC cubre esta necesidad ofreciendo hasta ocho generadores de formas de onda arbitrarias (AWG) por cada camino de RF, además de los dos caminos independientes de señal en tiempo real. Los AWGs generan entornos complejos de interferencias con el máximo rango dinámico en todo el ancho de banda de frecuencia. ampliarse posteriormente para gestionar los datos del segundo satélite, Sentinel-2B, que se lanzará al espacio en 2016. Estos satélites, de órbita polar, captarán imágenes de alta resolución en 13 bandas, en visible e infrarrojo. Su vida útil será de unos 7 años, respectivamente, aunque están preparados para que pueda extenderse hasta 5 años más. El equipo especializado en observación de la Tierra de Indra se responsabilizará de la gestión y operación completa del centro, incluyendo el procesamiento de las imágenes y su distribución a los usuarios. La compañía también se encargará del almacenamiento de datos a largo plazo, cada año se archivarán hasta 1.000 terabytes de nuevas imágenes, y almacenará esta información en su Centro de Procesamiento de Datos, en San Fernando de Henares, que actualmente cuenta con 5.000 metros cuadrados y ofrece un porcentaje de servicio sin interrupciones del 99,98%. La compañía comercializa imágenes y servicios de valor añadido en proyectos nacionales e internacionales. El pasado año 2012, reforzó esta línea de negocio tras cerrar una alianza con RapidEye para tener acceso a su constelación de cinco satélites. La información que proporcionan estas imágenes es enorme. Demostración del ATMID de Schiebel en detección de minas en suelo peruano La Dirección General de Desminado Humanitario del Ejército (DIGEDHUME) del Perú llevó a cabo un ensayo de detección de minas en el Puesto de Vigilancia Chiqueiza), en la provincia de Santiago, dentro de la campaña para identificar el mejor dispositivo para localizar a las españolas P4A.
