SACRED STONE STOLEN Somebody has stolen the sacred stone on which Moses is said to have stood while he prayed for the Israelites. The stone was in the temple of a religious order known as the Rosicrucians at San Jose, CaL, who had brought it to this country from Egypt. Dr. Spencer Lewis, caretaker of the temple, says the Egyp tians had laid a curse on anyone who should buy or steal this ancient relic and the thief, whoever he is, is now subject to this curse. The curse evi dently was not functioning while the stone was in the hands of the Kosicrucians.—Cappers Weekly.
