The first installments of these remarkable dialogues were introduced by the Imperator in one of the special classes of the Supreme Lodge many years ago, to a group of members being prepared for Rosicrucian lectureship. By s pecia l per missi on we will publish the srcinal installments so that members of the Hierarchy Degree may have the advantage of this unique presentation of rare knowledge and thereby add to their store of Ar cane W isdom. Mem bers wil l disco ver infor mation in these dialogues which may be applied to an swering those thousands of questions which arise during the course of study in all the Degrees. It is important that one point of explanation be ma de. It is com pr ehe ns ible how th e pe rsonality of each of the ancient and modem earth charac ters may communicate with each other while in the Cosmic and how one may become attuned with such personalities and hear the conversations. Bu t, it may seem impossi ble to unde rstan d what the author means when he attributes the titles of G od and Satan to two of the voices in thes e dial ogues . M ay we say t ha t whenever God D iv in e speaks in these dialogues, it is the voice of In sp ir ation suddenly speaking through one of the characters; and when Satan spea \s it is the voice of T he Tempter urging his thoughts through the voi ce of one of the characters . W ith thi s explanation in mind the dialogues become instructive and understandable.

Because of the attempts heretofore on the part of some to appropriate these rare dialogues for per so na l and commer cial us e w it h oth er th an th e right author’s name, we remind all who read them that they were srcinally copyrighted under the general copyright of the M ysti c Triangle in which they first appeared.

The First Conclave *

(Held in a silent section of the Cosmic on the occasion of the unexpected meeting of two emi' nent characters of earthly history.) Manetho: A s I live, art thou not he who was Mizraim, the Chaldaic King of Egypt in earthly time? I sense thee in that pa rt, though thou ar t changed in thought, indeed. M izraim : I salute you, el der Brother, and I confess to the shade of that personality in my self, but you are right that I am no more of the thought of him, for I have expressed on earth fou r characters si nce the c ycle of Chion. I ha ve seen you often as we passed through yonder chamber, but I hesitated to speak for I found you in deep thought. A re you not he who wrote of the incidents of my land in history? Manetho: Thou art he who was King and I am but an humble writer of history; the historian and Priest they called me, but I deserved not the nam es. M y errors were t oo many and too great ; I w rote not al l fact. O ften did I allow my hatred to color my words, and my blindness to that which I would not see did keep the Light out of my w ritten words. But I compensated, Brother, for since the days w'hereof you speak I have sub fered the reputation of one who was called evil by thos e w ho hear not th e tru th from me nor do me justice to tell the truth. Mizraim: I kno w such compensation too. It was in my cycle in Egypt that man built the tow er of Bab el. In th at segment of my exi sten ce the chief seat of earthly evolution of man was at the junction of two rivers, called Eden or Edina by thos e w ho w ro te histories , but I kne w no th in g of Abraham. Th ere was , of cou rse, Ibraham formed by the words lb meaning the whole an d

Brahm, meaning the world in which we live. And I was on earth with my people then until the establishment of the God Apis which we believed to be the true God. H ow fooli sh we wer e! N o t foolish, B ro th er, b u t tru ly mistaken. It was my duty as Pri est i n Eg ypt to t each of the gods and the Lords, and I know, too, how mistaken we we re; but no t fo olish. I knew well thy belief and the beliefs of thy people, and I was ready to cry “fools” to those who would not Manetho:

accept my God Osiris to whom we built the magnificent Temples—my God of the Sun, the great giver of Lif e! Ho w clo se w e w ere to truth , Broth er mine, and yet, blinded to the Light. But, who comes here, now, to our centre? I sense a soul light approaching and I feel the auric self expanding. Let us salute in gree ting! (A hazy light expand s in al l directions from the two characters and reaches toward a third hazy f orm tha t is mo vin g toward them. Th e three finally unite in one haze in the centre of which are three L igh ts. Th e new L ight of t he group now speaks:) Gree tings with in the Light. I Saint Martin: have been indulging in meditation and contacted the thoughts expressed by each of y ou. It was truly an interesting conversation and I found my sel f in attunement with your auras and made bo ld to expan d to it. I w as plea se d to hav e you reach out to me and accept m e. M ay I introdu ce myself as the converging personality of Louis Clau de de Saint M artin of the eart h, the nation of France? I knew both of you fr om earth ly records but I know not your selves of this cycle. Manetho:

(The new Light is added to the others and the four join in close association while the fourth Light speaks:) Wilson: I trust I have not intruded, but my form was drawn by some strange attraction to this pla ce and before I could control my movement, I was being added to your misty substanc e here and soothed by your radiations. I have heard ju st a p a rt of y o ur co nve rsatio ns and w ould like to introduce myself as Benjamin S. Wilson, just from Chicago and I am a stranger here although some things seem familiar. There is much I would like to know, but rather than interrupt with my questions I prefer to listen to your discussion. Mizraim: It is no intrusion, I assure thee, for thou a rt welcome and agreeab le. See, thy Light finds a place between the fo u r of Manetho and the se ve n of Saint Martin while my se lf, as a nine finds harmony here at the other side of thee. W h at peace there is in this partnership of Ligh ts! It is truly a joy of the Cosmo s. Th ou a rt strange in t his real m, d id’st say ? A nd from w hence c ame thy Light?

Yes, I am somewhat strange here, for Wilson: I came only yesterday into the Lightness of this place, and I came from Chicago. Saint Martin: My Brothers, I understand his perp le xity and his un be co m in g w or ds . B ro th er Wilson, this is neither plac e nor co ndi tion , both of which terms were used to refer to the Cosmic. You must learn that both place and condition are terms expressing a limited form of expression. Both may change—must change—but here all is chang eles s. A nd , to you, Brother Mizraim, I would explain that Chicago is the name now given

to a city on earth which was once the centre of that city of passing evolution known in the ancient cycles as H yji ja . You must know of this ,

Brother Manetho, for some of your earth races jo urn eyed on to H yjija to pre pare fo r th e co ming of new Lights after convergence. W ilson: I have heard you spea k of convex gence, just as I was preparing to adjust myself to the attraction from this little group . You said you were a conver ging personal ity of Saint M ar' tin. A re y ou not Saint M artin no w? Saint Martin:

N o, not now in the sense

In Cosmic sens e I am Saint M artin you now,use am Saint M artin in the past, and am Saint Martin in the future; but in your sense of time — eart h tim e— I wa s Saint Martin and am now converging into another, which I will be later. Converging is the process of dissolving the urn important distinctions of character and closing the book of memory on the important characteris' tics of a self’s earthly expression, preparatory to taking up a new residence in a new body on earth as a new character. Soon — in earthly time — I shall expand my aura and a beam of it shall reach down to earth. Th roug h that bea m my Light will desce nd and enter a new born bo dy. M y Light will not be here, then, but I shall keep the con' tact w ith my beam asce ndin g a t every opportun ity to Cosmos.

W ilson: I do not understand everythi ng you say, but I recall now that yesterday I moved along a beam, upward, and finally found myself to be a Lig ht like other s I see about me here. Shall I converge also? M ane tho: N ot for a segment of your earthly time, my Brother. Thou art too yo ung, as Brother Mizraim reminded me a moment ago when you aske d about you r se nse of st rangeness. You r cycle of earthly expression was short and it must be co m pleted be fo re co nv ergen ce begins— Saint Martin:

W ilson : In wh at sens e am I too young? I was fifty'Seven years old just before this change came. That may be young, of course, but I never did expect to live more than the average of about sixt y. N early all men pas s away from li fe at sixty or possibly sixtythree. Hear? T ha t report has come t o me Manetho: direc t from earth in a recent contact. M an is creating a new standard for his periods of expr ession s an d is not strivin g to fulfill th e law . Brothers, this is sad indeed. By the Logos , man should remain in his earthly expression a period equal to one hundred and fortyfour years—earth years. N ow tha t you are here in you r fifty seventh year, you will probably remain as an Astral Light for eightyseven earth years before converging, unless— Saint M art in: Yes, unless! How is it that thou should say Mizraim: A str a l Light rather than Cosmic Light, Brother Manetho? I thought he might recognize that Manetho: word, and I sense he does. W ilson: I cer tainl y ha ve heard the word astral many times and know that it pertains to the sky and the heavens, but I am not sure about the word Cosmic. And, what did you understand Manetho: about heaven and the sky? W ilson: T ha t the sk y was t he gre at di stant space around the earth and above it the place or condition, perhaps, called Heaven, the home of God, and Angels or spiri ts. I never was convinced about God being in a place they called Heaven, but I do believe that Heaven is the pla ce — or condition , as some called it — whic h I will reach after I am adjusted in some way.

Sa int M artin : You st ill be lieve that? Yes, but in a modifi ed form. I Wilson: now that I am on my way to Heaven, but that I shall not know when I am there for I shall no consciousness.

M ane tho: A nd you st ill be lieve tha t you are to go to Heaven eventually? Wilson: I sense by your question that I am not fit, not wo rthy. I must submit to yo ur better understanding of my worthiness. Mizraim: I p ray thee, Bro th er s, see ho w he suff ers, and be lenient. Even now has he com' pen sa te d fo r muc h su ffer in g th a t he ha s caused . Let us envelop him with our love and permit his consciousness to become refined to the wisdom of the Cos mic. Come, Broth er W ilson, we will com mune in silence and permit thy true self to absorb from the universal mind the facts of real existence and to know that this is the Heaven of thy earthly understanding, and that thou art worthy of it and shall be one with God in thy Heaven.
