Amigurumi Style Alphabet (lower case) You will need:

Abbreviations:

3 mm crochet hook Sewing needle Double knit yarn of your choice Poly fibre toy stuffing

ch – chain sc – single crochet FO – fasten off rnd – round

dec – sc2tog st - stitch sl st – slip stitch inc – 2sc in the same stitch

Notes: I have work in US terminology. For UK terminology substitute double crochet where I have used sc. All pieces are worked in the round as a continuous spiral. Use a stitch marker to help you know where the round began, moving if along the piece as you go. Some patterns are used for more than one letter. You may wish to help some of the letters hold their shape with a piece of garden wire or pipe cleaner , although I have not done so. The instructions within two asterisks (*) denote to repeat those instructions. The numbers in brackets at the end of a set of instructions denotes how many stitches you should have at the end of that round. I’ve broken down the letters into simple components which are then sewn together.
