GENERAL The installation method described in this instruction has been designed to ensure an efficient, trouble-free installation, whilst maintaining safe working practices. This is a general instruction which can be used for scenic cars for KONE 3000S MonoSpaceTM and KONE 3000S MiniSpaceTM panoramic scenic elevators with: KONE 3000S MonoSpaceTM panoramic scenic elevator  • Rated load 1000 kg • Rated speed 1.0 m/s, 1.6 m/s, 1.75 m/s, 2.0 m/s • Maximum travel 50 m (1.0 m/s) and 75 m (≥1.6 m/s) • Maximum number of floors 24 • MX10/20 machine • V3F18 drive • Sling CF10UP-SCE

SAFETY WARNING

Do not jump on the car roof! Do not step on the wall panels!

The local safety codes and rules must be obeyed at all times. Follow the method described in this instruction. Do not take shortcuts. If it is necessary to deviate from this method, a safe working method and risk analysis detailing all the required risk reduction measures must be obtained from the supervisor responsible for your installation. Personal safety equipment must be used (safety harnesses, safety goggles, rubber gloves, ear protection, work clothes, helmet, safety shoes, dust mask). You must never work beneath a suspended load no matter how short the time period is. Always use the hoist in accordance with you local regulations. Isolate the working area to keep outside persons away. Use additional safety fences or guarding. Use fall protection systems whenever there is risk of injury from falling. Refer to AM01.03.001. During the installation the car top balustrade height must be 1100 mm in all cases.

UNPACKING •

After unpacking, store parts indoors and protect them. If the parts are left outside, arrange appropriate protection against weather. • Pay extra attention to the handling of the glass parts. • Always use gloves when handling glass or steel panel parts. NOTE!

Never handle or lift glass parts so that there is metal and glass against each other.

Sling and car installed as parts

7.2.1

Installing the floor 

Step 1

Action Check that the car sling platform beams are horizontal. • If necessary, use adjusting shims between the isolation beam and the lower beam.

Remove the bolts with square washers from the car sling.

Step 3

Action Lift the car floor into the sling using lifting loops or C-profiles. • There are two lifting holes on one side of the car floor.

Check dimension X. • For AMDC1C door, X is 105 mm. • The plumb line is at the landing door sill. • The sill gap is 25 mm.

Action Re-install the bolts with square washers onto the car sling. • Tighten the bolts to final tightness.

Installing side walls NOTE! Before installing car wall panels, lift the car roof into the shaft. Follow the procedure below to lift the car roof into the shaft. Step 1

Action Install the lifting eyes into the C-profiles of the car roof. • Place the lifting eyes so that the car roof will stay horizontal when lifted up.

Install side wall panels according to the following procedure. Step 1

Action Fix wall panels to the floor, and put bolts into every fixing hole. • Wulock bolt M6 x 20 and Wulock nut M6; or  • Bolt M6 x 20, nut M6, washer M6, and spring washer M6.

Fix wall D with bolts and tighten these bolts to final tightness.

Installing front walls

Action Remove plastic protection. Remove grease and dust from the front wall. Fix the self-adhesive bases for the cable ties, Fix the front walls with bolts. • Hand tighten the bolts.

Note

NOTE! Fix the front wall bolts and the transom panel bolts beside the  joint. Otherwise the door operator will damage these parts.

Step 5

Action Mount the transom panel between the front walls using bolts. • Hand tighten the bolts.

If the final floor coating is installed, check the clearance between final floor coating and the transom panel. • The dimension should be HH+4. (HH=Clear height of the door opening) If the final floor coating is not installed, check the clearance between the floor and the transom panel. • The dimension should be HH+4+SS (max. HH+34). (HH=Clear height of the door opening; SS=Flooring thickness reserve) Check that the cross dimension difference is smaller than 2 mm.

Installing the lower canopy

Step

Action Install the lower canopy, using the rachet and bolts: • Wulock bolt M6 x 20 and Wulock nut M6; or  • Bolt M6 x 20, nut M6, washer M6, and spring washer M6.

Installing the roof and the upper canopy NOTE! Before installing the roof, make sure that the handrail can be taken into the car through the door opening area. If the door opening area is not big enough, lift handrail into the car before car roof installation. Step 1

Action Hoist the roof onto the top edge of the wall panels.

Fasten the roof to the wall panels using bolts. • Wulock bolt M6 x 20 and Wulock nut M6; or  • Bolt M6 x 20, nut M6, washer M6, and spring washer M6.

CAUTION! Use safety harness if there is any risk of falling when you are working from the car roof. Refer to section titled Safety.

Installing the balustrade NOTE! For scaffold-less installation using Tirak:  during the installation, the balustrade height must always be 1100 mm in all cases. After removing the Tirak, the balustrade must be adjusted according to the layout drawing/EN81-1 or changed to the final balustrade model with fixed height. Step 1

Action Check the position of all the equipment for the C-profiles according to the layout drawing. Mount the required number of T-bolts into position in the C-profiles.

Note

Fasten each balustrade support to the roof using T-bolts.

Installing windows CAUTION

Sharp glass edges may damage your fingers. Make sure that there is always rubber sealing between the glass and the frame. Avoid skin contact with the silicon. Always wear rubber gloves when handling silicon. Windows can be installed from inside.

Action When installing windows from inside, tighten all screws.

Install the window into the frame. • Check that the sealing covers the whole window. Install fixing plates with screws.

Fix the lower skirting plate. When all windows are installed and fixed, install cover plates on both sides of the rib between windows.

Fill the gap with silicon.

Action Spread the silicon with fingers. • Wear rubber gloves. • Use water or soap water to make the spreading easier. • If possible, one fitter should stand outside the car and the other fitter inside the car. (USE SAFETY HARNESSES.) • Spread the silicon on both sides at the same time so that the air will come out.

Action Install the COP to car wall. • Fix screws from outside of the car.

Installing the sill profile

Step 1

Action Fix the sill front part to the sill back part using bolts. • Hand tighten the bolts. • Wulock bolt M6x20 and Wulock nut M6; or  • Bolt M6x20, nut M6, washer M6, and spring washer M6.

Put (M6x30) bolts into the profile slot.

Place the profile on the sill front part. • Make sure that the profile is fixed to the sill front part according to the layout drawing. • Tighten the bolts to final tightness.

Action Check that the sill profile is level. • If necessary, adjust the sill. Check that the long support profiles of the toe guard are vertical. • If necessary, adjust the sill.

Note

Check that the clearance between the landing sill and the car sill is consistent with the layout drawing.

BALANCING THE CAR Follow the procedure below to balance the car. Step 1

Action Fit the balancing weights to profiles under the car floor.

After hanging all weights, install holders (1) to hold the weights together. • Adjust screws (2) and tighten nuts (3).
