Notes of All for love 1-

Octavius is Octavia's brother and he's the emperor of Rome he hates Antony for 2 reasons: a) Antony is cheating on his sister Ceaser (Cleopatra's husband) was one of Antony's friends. When he died Octavius becomes the Emperor of Rome so, he becomes jealous from Antony, as he was successes at that time and how a man is flourishing more than the Emperor of Rome. b)

2- Alexas wishes for all the tyrants to die but, he knows that he has to depend on one of them who is "Cleopatra" the queen of Egypt. 3- Cleopatra loves Antony madly and she is following the shadow of a successful man. 4- Alexas hates Ventidius "Who represents honor and faith" because, he advices Antony to leave and that he's the only faithful man he ever knows. 5- Antony: the heart and Ventidius: the mind. 6- Antony according to Ventidius: a- Cleopatra leads to Antony down fall of his mad love for her. b- Ventidius describes Antony's real character as the play opens at his downfall. c- Antony is usually regrets his mistakes and repents but he does not repent Cleopatra's love. d- Antony is more than a man but now he is lost and became a mad man.

The image of Antony is macho and he is the conqueror of half the humankind.

8- Antony is a shadow of emperor as he conquers half the world but after several years, his conquer shrinks into the place where he is lying on. He is not a man anymore. 9- Ventidius is telling Antony that he loves him after his love to Heaven and God as he is warning him of his love. 10-

Antony's confession: his reasons of this downfall a- His fortune escapes from his life forever. b- He feels like a fool, as this love is madness for him.

11Antony is saying that Honor is bigger than love so, he took his decision to leave Cleopatra without Ventidius cursing her. As true friendship makes Ventidius speaks like God and encouraging Antony to leave. 12Cleopatra is justifying her love to Antony as her love is Nobel and it is a lust as his love to him is beyond any reasons. 13-

Cleopatra sent gifts to Antony through Alexas, it was a ruby bracelet "her heart blood" and this shows her love to him.

14Antony's marriage to Octavia was for political reasons "to set the world in peace". 15-Ventidius

is mocking Cleopatra and said that when she cried is her business.

16-During

the conversation between Ventidius and Cleopatra: a- she is justifying her marriage to Ceaser for Antony as she gave herself an excuse as Antony married to Fulvia

(who is an uneasy woman and unbearable) so, she said to Ventidius that they are equal. As it is not her only fault. BShe is wishing for another Ceaser in order to refuse him for Antony as, Ceaser, I gave my person to him, but my love to Antony as he was a powerful man. C- She did not betray him. As she told Ventidius that, she will not leave under any circumstances. 17-Octavia

is appealing to something that Antony could respond to virtue nobility. She is playing the role of wife until the end.

18-Ventidius

brings Dollabella to convince Antony that Cleopatra cheated on him with his handsome officer and his friend "Dollabella" and that she left him in Actium, as this was a trick from Ventidius who can do anything to save Antony from Cleopatra's charm. On the other side, Octavia is reminding Antony about their children in Rome.
