It has been a pleasure in coopUing this

treatise on mental effects with watchea . The original intontion waa to present new material and erfecte wit h watChes. Por that r.aaon , liThe Clock Rffect" with cards is not included, since that braneh i3 amply covered in other books. I could have written two or three pages dealing with the "Stull~ watch. Unfortunately, the Stull watch is no longer available. It you can find one it will cost you over :;i2SO . Ir the reader is affluent enough to afford auch a luxury, be i3 welcomed to it. Tho Stull watch foroee a3 many as 27 different times. All you real_ ly need ie to torce 2 or 3 times and you can do that with the Honta! Watch doacribed here . Ke ep in mind t llat the effect is the same to your au{l1ence and that i8 what c ounts. Your audi~nce are \.tt1dor the belief that the watch is ung1mm1cked, eo it makes little difference what lIatch is used, if any. 1 sincerely hope t hat t he reador takes the trouble of ~ing a Mental Watch. It you are not handy \lith tools, you can have a f'riend do t ho work for you. Tho wonderful effects pos s ible with the lIatch will far outweigh the trouble of making 1t.

The principle used in "Death Watch ll , the first effect in the book , can be us od to f orce an,. hour , for any purpose , such as a prediction, t hought readin8 or for us e in the one -~l ead sys tem. In t he f ollowing pages you will f i nd the raw but practical ~ at ~ rial for t he cre ation of miraole. Hiuing 13 tho most imllortant ingredient of all, showmanship, which you, the miracle worker must provide . '!'he 001088&1. impact ot 11ental Magic cnn only be r e alized in front of a lay audience, and only a. lay audience can eUI)ply the basic traininG for t he sho\zman. Bost Wishee
