 ْ ْ ‫ﻭ‬ According ‫ﻟ‬َ  to dictionary this word means ‘preserved tablet’. The 14.1 LAUH MAHFOOZ (‫ﻅ‬‫ﻭ‬ُ‫ﻔ‬ْ‫ﺣ‬َ‫ﻣ‬   ‫)ﺡ‬: complete comprehension to this tablet is beyond the bounds of human knowledge but according to legends this tablet or book contains all the matters related to the fate of the universe and it is not altered. Following is the knowledge of the names referred to it in the Quran Surah Al-Burooj (The Mansions of the Stars): 85:21 ‫ﺍﻟﺑﺭﻭﺝ‬ ‫ﺳﻭﺭﺓ‬

‫ﻅ‬‫ﻔﻭ‬ ْ ْ‫ﺣ‬ ‫ﻣﱠ‬     ‫ ﺡ‬ ْْ ‫َﻭ‬ ‫ ﻟ‬  ‫ ﻓﻲ‬  ‫ﺩ‬‫ﻳ‬‫ ِﺟ‬‫ﱠ‬‫ﻣ‬  ‫ﻥ‬‫ﺁ‬ْْ‫ﻗﺭ‬ُ

 

No indeed, (but) it is an Ever-Glorious Qur'an, in a preserved Tablet.  ْْ  ‫ﻟ ﻭ‬َ  Thus the Quran is also derived from the LAUH MEHFOOZ ( ‫ ﻣﺣﻔﻭﻅ‬ ‫)ﺡ‬.     ٰ ََ‫ﻛﺗ‬ِ  ۡ ‫ ﻟ‬‫ٱ‬ ):  ‫ﱡ‬‫ﻡ‬ ُ‫ﺍ‬ 14.2 UMM-UL-KITAAB (‫ﺏ‬ Surah Az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of Gold): 4-43:3 ‫ﻑ‬‫ﺭ‬‫ﺧ‬‫ﱡ‬‫ﺯ‬‫ﻟ‬‫ﺍ‬‫ﺓ‬‫ﺭ‬‫ﻭ‬‫ﺳ‬

‫ﻡ‬‫ﻳ‬‫َﻛ‬ َ‫ﺣ‬   ‫ﻰﱞ‬ ِ‫ﻌ‬‫َﻟ‬  ‫ﻧﺎ‬َ  ۡ‫َﻳ‬ ‫ﺩ‬َ ‫ﻟ‬َ  ‫ﺏ‬   ٰ  َ‫ﻛﺗ‬ِ  ۡ ‫ ﻟ‬‫ ٱ‬   ‫ﱢ‬‫ﻡ‬ُ‫ﺃ‬   ‫ﻰ‬ ‫ِﻓ‬  ‫ۥ‬   ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﻧﱠ‬ ِِ ‫ﻠﱠﺇ‬َ‫ﻌ‬َ‫ﱠﻭ‬ ‫ ﻟ‬  ‫ﺎ‬‫ﻥ‬ ۟‫ﻭ‬ ًًّّ‫ﻳﻳ‬‫ُﻘﻠ‬ ِِ ‫َﺑ‬َۡ ‫ﺭﻌ‬ ‫ﺗ‬َ‫َﻋ‬    ‫ﺎﻡ‬ً‫ﻧ‬‫ٲ‬َ ۡ‫ﺭ‬ُ‫ﻗ‬  ‫ﻪ‬  ٰ  َ‫ ﻧ‬ ۡ

We verily, have made it a Quran in Arabic, that you may be able to understand (its meanings and its admonitions). And Verily, it (this Quran) is in the Mother of the Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz), before Us, indeed Exalted, full of Wisdom. It is said about the Quran that is a part or the UMM-UL-KITAAB (‫ﺏ‬ important fact is cleared  ٰ َ‫ﻛﺗ‬ِ  ۡ ‫ﻟ‬‫ٱ‬ ).  ‫ﱡ‬An ‫ﻡ‬ ُ‫ﺍ‬ important here that Allah has revealed Holy books upon Prophets belonging to different era and nations. But they all advocated for the same doctrine. The standard of vice and virtues were the same, so were the laws of morality and civilization. Thus the religion always remained the same. Regarding the changes in laws and Shariah it is said in the Quran ُ  Surah Al-Rad (The Thunder): 13:39‫ﺩ‬‫ﻋ‬ّ‫ﺭ‬‫ﻟ‬‫ﺍ‬  ‫ﺓ‬ َ‫ ﺭ‬ ۡ ‫ﺳﻭ‬

‫ٰ ﺏ‬   ‫ ٱﻟ ﺗ‬  ‫ﱡ‬‫ﻡ‬ُ‫ﺃ‬  ‫ۥ‬ ‫ﻭ ﻋﻧﺩﻩ‬

 

‫ﺕ‬  ِ‫ ﺑ‬ ۡ ‫ﺛ‬‫ُﻳ‬ ََ‫ٱ‬‫ﻭ‬  ‫ﺍ‬ ‫ﻭ‬  ُُ‫ﺣﺣ‬ ‫ﺂ‬  َ‫ۡﺷ‬‫ﻣ‬ َ‫ﻳﻳ‬َ    ‫ ﻣﺎ‬ 

 

 Allah blots out what He wills and confirms (what He wills). And with Him is the Mother of the Book (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz)  According to this Ayah the changes in the Shariah Law and regulations regulations were also recorde recorded d in this book. ‫ﻥ‬‫ﻭ‬ُ‫ﻧ‬ْ‫ﻛ‬‫ﱠ‬‫ﻣ‬   ‫ﺏ‬‫ﺎ‬َ‫ﺗ‬ِ‫ﻛ‬  ‫ ﻓﻲ‬ ‫ﻡ‬ ‫ِﻳ‬ِ  ‫َﺭ‬ ‫ ﻛ‬   ‫ﻥ‬‫ﺁ‬ْ‫ﺭ‬ُ‫ﻘ‬َ‫ﻟ‬

It is a noble Quran. In a well-protected Book.   From this ayah we come to know that the contents of this book are not known by anyone except Allah not even Gabriel (Jibraeel) who used to take the divine revelations to Prophets.
