1.2. AIRN@V INTRODUCTION AirN@v V3 is an advanced consultation tool for Airbus technical data. It allows:  Easy and Accurate Information retrieval  Search functions and Navigations  It uses latest web technology AirN@v V3 can be consulted using ADOC N@vigator in various ways online or offline:  Consultation Online via AirbusWorld  Consultation Offline: o From media: DVD or USB o In Stand-alone mode o In Server mode If there is no DVD, ADOC N@vigator and AirN@v V3 publications can be downloaded from TDD. Various ways of AirN@v consultation can depict as the following figure:

2. AIRN@V CONSULTATION FROM MEDIA AirN@v application is dispatched to customers via DVD. You can consult the publication from DVD without installing ADOC N@vigator. While inserting an AirN@v DVD, you will have the following window depending on the version of ADOC N@vigator is installed or not:

2.1. If no version of ADOC N@vigator is installed on your computer

The “Install on system” button launches the install of ADOC N@vigator and also prompts to install the publication stored on the DVD during the installation process. The “Launch from media” button allows the customer to display the publication without any installation on his/her computer.

Perform the following procedure to consult AirN@v from media: 1). When you consult publication from a DVD, it automatically runs autorun.exe. If you have downloaded the publication from Technical Data Download (TDD) you can also run AirN@v V3 without installation (except for the needed plugin that needs to be installed in any case). For this case follow the procedure: i.

Unzip the downloaded file into a destination folder

ii.

Copy the contents of this directory to the root directory of the media you want to work with (USB device, external disk) or burn a DVD with this contents

iii.

Run autorun.exe from the media

2). Then a dialogue box opens, choose “Launch from media” to access to the AirN@v services via No-install mode (i.e. from media)

3). Then Authentication window will be displayed. Enter the username and Password to login into ADOC N@vigator There are 3 types of authenticated users: i. ii. iii.

Admin (UserName: admin ; Password: AIRBUS ) User (UserName & Password: user) Reader (UserName: reader , no Password)

2.2. If a version of ADOC N@vigator is already installed on your computer If ADOC N@vigator is already installed on your computer, you will be able to consult the publication from media. Irrespective of whichever version is on DVD or System, the latest version of ADOC N@vigator will be launched.

Consulting from Media Vs PC Note: It is not possible to use the version of ADOC N@vigator available in the media if one version is installed on your computer. For such a case it will be necessary to reference the publication(s) available in the media.

3. AIRN@V INSTALLATION ON STAND-ALONE MODE The installation of ADOC N@vigator (AWN) in stand-alone mode must be performed via the administrative account.

3.1. If no version of ADOC N@vigator is installed on your computer 1). Run installer.exe

Publication List Window 8). Since the publication list is empty, admin has to add publications [you must be logged in as admin]. Select Administration Console -> Manage publication -> Select the publication

9). Click on Add button to add publication to the publication list and select the publication. Now the publication is added in the publication list 10). Click on OK button 11). Go to Access Management -> License and Certificate (if the certificate is red colour; then put the certificate file in the following folder: Page 13 of 30

3.2. If a version of ADOC N@vigator already installed on your computer 1). Run installer.exe

2). If AWN is already installed then you will be asked “A previous version of the product is already installed, do you want to upgrade it”. Notes: - An upgrade version of AWN leads to discrepancies. So please choose ‘No’ to upgrade the version.

If you want to retain the previous version, it is better to rename the folder with version number in the installation path in order to identify each AWN version.

By default, during the installation the port is set as 8041. If you want to keep the previous installation then changes the port for this current installation, adding one for example (8042). Port change: Start -> All programs -> ADOC N@vigator 3.XX -> Configure

If you do not want to retain the previous version, uninstall completely (Refer 5UNINSTALLATION OF ADOC N@VIGATOR). Before uninstallation take a backup of the following files from: C:\Program Files\Airbus\AWN_3.15\Airnav\system-datas\server-config:   

Also take a backup of Launch-client.bat file from C:\[Airnav Installation]\Airnav\tools. Once the installation is done, Place these backup files into the new [Airnav Installation]\Airnav\systemdatas\server-config folder. Follow the same procedure (from steps 3 to 11) in the 3.1 section to continue the installation procedure of ADOC N@vigator.

4. AIRN@V INSTALLATION ON SERVER MODE In network mode, the ADOC N@vigator v3 application and the publications are installed on a server. In this mode, they will keep only one copy of ADOC N@vigator for every user. Please refer install-admin-guide for pre-requisite and execute Check List Tool in order to know the customer is complaint with AirN@v. Different types of client-server architecture can be depicted as follows The installation of ADOC N@vigator (AWN) in server mode must be performed via the administrative account. 1) Run installer.exe

Installation Window 8) Now ADOC N@vigator is installed successfully 9) Click on Done button Note: Once ADOC N@vigator installed in server mode, it is then necessary to launch the client via URL A lot of users can access to AirN@v services via Network mode by performing the following procedure: a). Start the server In Windows: Click on Start -> All Programs ->ADOC N@vigator 3.X -> Server In Unix: Launch the script “launch-server.sh” in [AWN_INSTALL_PATH]\Airnav\tools b). Access AirN@v services via Network mode with the address http://serverName:serverPort/awn_server/consult-client Example: 1. Go to the link :http://localhost:8041/awn-server/

2. Click on Start Client 3. It will open the ADOC N@vigator Or Go to the link: http://localhost:8041/awn-server/consult-client It will open ADOC N@vigator client immediately. User can consult the publications. Note: An updated version of the AirN@v V3 Checklist Tool is now available in Technical Data Download on AirbusWorld. It enables you to check your server configuration when using AirN@v in Intranet Mode. You will find it under UPL_AirN@v V3 Checklist tool. JRE pre-requisites are different between server and client. The compatible JRE version for client and server is given below: Server

1.6.0_20, 1.7.0_u25, 1.7.0_80, 1.8.0_45

5. UNINSTALLATION OF ADOC N@VIGATOR ADOC N@vigator can be uninstalled by the following procedure: 1. Stop ADOC N@vigator Server 2. Go to the path \Airnav\tools\ 3. Execute uninstall-windows.bat file. It prompts a dialog box requesting confirmation to uninstall the application. Note: Customer requires Admin access of the system to run this file. Page 24 of 30

4. Click on “Uninstall” button Additionally, if any plugin has been installed:  The uninstall procedure will prompt the user if the installed plugins must be uninstalled as well  If any user says ‘No’, the plugin file will be kept on the file system; otherwise the corresponding plugin uninstaller will be launched in silent mode  AWN uninstaller will only starts after all the plugin uninstaller processes. Note: AWN plugin can only work with AWN software.

6. TECHNICAL DATA DOWNLOAD 6.1. INTRODUCTION The Technical Data Download (TDD) service allows the customers to download the Airbus Technical documentations. In the case you do not have the publication in DVD you can download it via TDD on AirbusWorld. We recommend you to refer to the ISI "Technical pre-requisites for Technical Data Download" with reference 00.00.00220. It provides the minimum requirements for a good usage of Airbus Online Services such as AirbusWorld portal, Technical Data Download service or AirN@v V3. This good practices guide will help Airbus Customers in using Online Service within the best conditions.

5) Then an alert box will be displayed ‘’Do you want to start download immediately”; Two modes are possible to download: Immediate and Deferred Customer can start download immediately by clicking the immediate button or can defer the download by clicking deferred button. (Note: The deferred download cannot be scheduled. It has to be manually launched in the application Download Manager.)

Download Progress Window 8) Once the download is over, customer can consult the manual from his local machine.

6.3. TDD DOWNLOAD BASKET The basket function in TDD allows you to select manuals and attachments from different searches and to send only one download request to Download Manager. Therefore, as you navigate in Technical Data Download you can do multiple searches and add to the basket all the documents you want to download in one single cart. Then you directly launch your download from the basket screen. This new function doesn’t replace the existing one which consists in launching a download for one manual at a time. It is an additional option. Download Basket Function: Customer can select the documents you want to download by ticking the corresponding checkbox (a basket icon appears besides the element selected) and they will automatically be added to the Basket, accessible from the top right button. The basket is valid for one session. If you exit Technical Data Download service the basket will be lost.

TDD Page Follow the same procedure as download and it will download the manual/attachment. As soon as the download request is sent from Technical Data Download service, the Basket becomes empty.
