Limbo Contest Equipment: Yardstick and upbeat music
Play: Another way to have some competitive fun and demonstrate your youthful flexibility is to have a limbo contest. With a yardstick and some upbeat music, particularly something with a Latin beat, it's easy to get the game going. To begin, designate one or two people to be in charge of holding the limbo stick. Next, start the music and each participant is to walk under the stick. Make sure to start with the stick high enough that everyone can clear it easily. Once everyone has passed under the stick, the stick holders need to lower it by a couple of inches. With the stick lower, participants must bend backwards to clear it, and they are not allowed to squat or stoop. Anyone who cannot clear the stick is eliminated from the game. As the stick is lowered, only the most flexible players will remain. The winner is the last remaining person to pass under the stick.
Butt Charades Equipment: None
Play: Cut up slips of paper with words on them and put them into a bag. Break up into two teams. Get a volunteer from each team to spell the word he/she took out of the bag by moving their hips (spelling the words with thier butts!). (Make sure they do not say a word to give away clues.) If their team does not figure out the word after two spellings, the other team gets to guess.
Make it interesting by the words you choose, try to keep it clean. We don't want any dirty butts!
Frisbee Golf Equipment: To play, you will need four white or brightly colored beach towels, enough Frisbees so that each person has one, and a paper and pencil to keep score.
Play: Great adult picnic game! Place the towels far enough away that there is plenty of room to throw the Frisbee towards them. The rules are similar to standard golf. Each player will "tee off" by throwing the Frisbee with the goal of landing it on the first towel. After each player has thrown once, continue to throw the Frisbee until it lands on the towel. The number of throws is the score for that "hole." Once every player has landed his or her Frisbee on the towel, continue on to the next "hole." You can add additional "holes" by moving the towels. The game can be played with any number of participants. The winneris the player with the lowest number of throws.
Dad Challenge Equipment: Clothesline, phone, toy baby doll, basket of clothes, clothe pins
Play: Hang a clothesline at the party scene, then hand each player a phone, a baby (doll of course), a basket of clothes and some clothe pins. The object of the game is to have each player hold the baby properly, while on the phone and hanging clothes. They must at all times be chatting on the phone and hold the baby as if it were real. See how many clothes they can hang on the line in 60 seconds, but the object of the game is to see if they can handle a mom’s job for 60 seconds without dropping the child or the phone. Good Luck and Enjoy! Dads of all ages and men in general are encouraged to play this game. Have all men, teenagers and especially, fathers give it a try. This is a great game for father/son outings. It is hilarious to see them juggle so hard to keep that baby in their arms.
Three-Legged Balloon Race Equipment: Balloons and bandanas
Play: Put your heads together and race!
This game is for 6 or more players and should be played outside or in an open area. Split into pairs and give each pair a balloon and a bandana. Standing side by side, have teammates use the bandana to tie their legs together. Then, teammates have to hold the balloon between their heads and race to the end of the playing field and back. If they drop their balloon, they have to start all over again. The team that gets back to the starting line first wins. Ready, set, go!
Mummy Wrap Equipment: 3 or 6 rolls of toilet paper
Play: Super adult picnic game! Pick three groups of three people each. Give each a roll or two of toilet paper. Make sure you give each team the same amount. Two people wrap up (like a mummy) the third person in the group. The object of the game is to: See who can wrap up their "mummy" first or who is most creative in their "mummifying". You may wish to add a few other objects into the game (Q-tips, t.p. rolls, etc.) to aid in the "artistic expression possibilities". You could have the crowd vote or the staff.
TP OverUnder Equipment: Several rolls of toilet paper
Play: This pathetic game actually works sometimes, although don't count your chickens. Line up your teams (however many you want). The object is to pass toilet paper, unraveling it as you go over their head then the next person under their legs and so on until the back of the line. If toilet paper breaks, the person must tie it together before continuing to unravel. First one to the back (or back up, or the back person runs it to the front of the line, etc.) wins. INSTEAD
