Volunteered to join German Army He was decorated for   bravery and nearly lost his life on more than one occasion Was devastated by Germany’s defeat; Blamed socialists and Jews for this loss.

ENTRY IN TO POLITICS • Appointed as a police spy to infiltrate German Workers Party. • Got invitation to join in the party • Oratory , Elected as chairman of the party • Hitler was arrested and sentenced to prison for  five years in Landsburg

“Mein Kampf ” written by Hitler  Hitler  is translated to “My Struggle”, and was originally called “Four years of Struggle against lies, stupidity, and cowardice.” It outlined his  political philosophy that Germans (Aryans) were superior to all other  races

THE REICHSTAG FIRE • Hitler persuaded  president to dissolve the Reichstag • Elections were announced,1933 • Reichstag building set to fire and reichstag fire decree is raised • Reichstag decree suppressed the basic rights

THE ENABLING ACT Hitler confronted to pass “Enabling Act” which vested the cabinet legislative powers for a  period of four years  Centre Party supported this act in Reichstag  Hitlers government  become supreme power  

March 1933 HITLER CAN RULE ALONE FOR FOUR YEARS. THERE IS NO NEED TO CONSULT THE REICHSTAG.

HINDENBURGS DEATH AND OATH OF LOYALITY TO HITLER  • HINDENBURG DIED ON 2nd AUGUST,1934 • PRESIDENCY DORMANT law was passed by the cabinet • Hitler was addressed as DERFUHRER  • Hitler took over the post of  commander-in-chief  • The soldiers took an oath that thery are liable not to the state or constitution but to Hitler only

Every soldier swore a personal oath of loyalty to ADOLF HITLER.
