The DIA programme has been designed with the objective of training Bumiputera in the filed of accountancy at a sub professional level. This course is offered at 10 branch campuses throughout the country.  Please visit the respective website for more information.

The duration of the full-time course and part time course is 3 years and 4 years respectively.  Part time programme is run by Institute of Education Development (InED) UiTM.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), or other equivalent qualifications with 5 credits, minimum grade 5C in Mathematics/Add Mathematics and grade 6C in English. 

COURSE STRUCTURE The DIA programme is divided into 6 semesters with the emphasis on inter-disciplinary approach to accounting.  Thirty six subjects must be completed to earn the Diploma.   SEMESTER 1 - Financial Accounting 1 - Computer Applications & Communications in Accounting - Business Mathematics - Consolidating Language Skill/Comm. DIA graduates with good academic results may further their studies at any local or foreign institution of higher learning.  Among the courses available are: - Bachelor in accountancy (Hons.) (UiTM) - Bachelor in Accountancy (Local/Foreign Universities) - Professional courses (MICPA, ACCA and CIMA)

The DIA qualification has been recognized by the Government of Malaysia as a sub-professional qualification.
