Chinese calendar 

Chinese astrology is cosmology. The zodiac and the symbols that create the energetic power.

Deals with our relationship with the universe and the impact on our existence thought the yang, yin, 5 elements, that represent the energetic change in the cycles of time and seasons.

Chinese astrology deals with the quality and quantity of energy from time of birth (energetic DNA), and the interaction with the qi of the universe and with different peoples qi.

Chinese calendar  

 

Called natural energy calendar or 10000-year calendar. Began in 2698 b.c, on the first day of the first year of huangdi reign. It is the Foundation of many metaphysics methods Some basic rules: 

Time of birth- by the place of birth

Solar calendar- new year starts in YANG WOOG month (FEBRUARY)

Day- begins after midnight in the middle of ZI (RAT) time (23:00-01:00)

Hour-the hour of the birth is based on the standard double Chinese hour

A comprehensive calendar has 24 sections/ seasons (15 days each) in 12 months The first part of the month (JIE) is yang and the second (QI) is yin.

10 heavenly stems 

 

Cycles of time correspond to 5 elements (water, wood, fire, earth, metal), and each element contains a yin or yang aspect. The result is 10 stems. Represent the yang / heaven energy The heavenly stems are connected to the earthly branches, which describe the human psyche in relationship with society.

12 earthly branches 

The 12 earthly branches have many correspondences, including a main element, Chinese zodiac animal and geographical location.

The animals/ branches in the same direction have an affinity for each other, as they share the same directional element and therefore support or reinforce each other.

A trinity/ harmonic or elemental frame relationship links every forth animal in a special relationship.

These types of energetic relationship play an integral role in revealing fundamental theories within acupuncture.

The four directions play a vital role in grouping the branches for Chinese astrology and the acupuncture channels. These pairings comprise the leg and arm channel combination.

12 earthly branches 

Contain the 10 stems with extra earth branches that also contain yin- yang aspects.

Branches are also referred to their Chinese zodiac animal names.

They reflect the earth energies and also correspond to 12 months of the year and 12 double hour cycles.

The earth branches are transforming and connecting the elements.

Each branch has a main element and some have hidden elements (depending on the elements growth).
