Vijay is a hard working, honest person working in a Bangalore based electric company. He is a shy person who rarely socialises and makes his presence in company felt inspite of being initiator of many path breaking strategies. He was not promoted for his good work and first transferred to Purchasing from Finance Department which he had no clue of. He kept up his good work but wasn’t rewarded and again transferred to Stores. This infuriated him and he resigned. The VP(Finance) persuaded him and rejected his resignation. He promised Vijay that his needs will be taken care of. But at time of promotion he was again snubbed. On protesting his Unit Head asked him resign.

It helps to analyze his achievements and evaluate his contribution towards the achievements of the overall organizational goals.
Vijay should go and meet the HR head of the company and narrate the whole incident. Ask him to take the needful actions. The main problem here was vijay does not make his presence in company felt inspite of being initiator of many path breaking strategies. Hence, other people take him for granted.
