So class what is our lesson yesterday?

Ma’am we have discussed about the different history of computers, the generation of the computer and who invented the computers.

Very good class! But before we start in our next topic. I have one question in you what if one part of our body did not function well what happen to you? (One student raising her hand) Good answer Allen.

Yes it is absolutely correct. For example :

Ma’am if one part of our body system fails to carry out its function properly the rest of the system will be affected and other parts will work harder.

Class what am I holding in my hands? Ma’am it is apple. If I were going to eat this apple, what parts of my body would I use? Yes it is correct so how do the different parts work together? What happen if one of the part is missing for example the teeth were missing .it is possible to chew some foods?

Ma’am we use to biting, chewing, swallowing and digesting an apple. Ma’am each part plays a special role. It’s not possible and difficult because if one couldn’t chew something large to get it small enough to pass through the esophagus, then they choke.

Can you think of an example of a system? Ma’am computer if the one part is missing. The computer not function well. Yes it is right. So I’m comparing the body system and computer system so our topic for today is the main parts of the computer

C. Presentation of the Lesson

Student’s Activity Ma’am Computers have become a useful part of our everyday lives and we can live without computer.

Ma’am it is very accurate, fast and can accomplish many task easily. Without computer is difficult to do everything.

In addition everything today are related in everyday life can be done using computer. Right? Example you can order your breakfast online using your computer, you can work from the comfort of the home with the help of computer, you can watch movies, you can play games, and also you can contact people and talk to them through your compute and etc.

Yes ma’am everything has related in computer.

So our lesson for today is about parts of the Computer System?

2. Define computer hardware system? Angelie what is your idea about computer hardware system? Yes it is correct the computer system made up of complete peripheral devices.

Ma’am this is a system interconnected computers that share a central storage system and other peripherals devices.

3. What are the parts of the computer? Class what are the parts of the computer? Yes it is correct so I’m going to discuss the different parts of computer.

Ma’am cpu, memory, mother board, power supply, hardrive, videocard

In addition each component plays an important role, without each other computer systems will not work properly. A computer has many parts and each part has its own job. Let’s pretend that a computer is a person. First CPU:

The CPU is like the brain. It does all the thinking and makes everything work. The CPU controls all the other parts in the computer. Just like your brain controls your body.

Motherboard:

The motherboard is like the skin and skeleton of the computer. It holds every part together and makes sure each part can work with one another.

RAM:

RAM is like the hands of the human body. If a person has more hands, they can do more things at once and multitask more efficiently. If someone has a job that requires two hands but they only have one hand, it will slow them down. But if a job requires one hand and the person has four hands, then it is pointless to have a lot of hands. Every program on your computer takes up RAM More RAM more programs can run at the same time more efficiently. RAM measured in GB, and it is usually from 1GB to 8GB.

Power Supply:

The power supply is like the heart. Just like

the heart has to pump blood throughout the body, the power supply has to make sure there is enough power for all the parts in the computer or it will not work. Power supplies are measured in watts and are usually anywhere between 300W all the way up to 800W+.

Hard Drive:

A hard drive is like a huge backpack that is being worn at all times. It is where everything is stored. Pictures, movies, documents, are all stored in this backpack. The bigger the backpack, the more it could hold. Sometimes the backpack gets very messy because there is so much stuff in it so you would want to "defragment" it. What this does is it organizes everything in the backpack so it is easier to find stuff later. Hard drives are measured in GB and TB. 1000GB = 1TB.

Video Card:

A vi deo cards like

the eyes of a person with very bad eyesight. It lets you see everything that is happening but it needs eyeglasses (monitor) to show you. Without the video card you can't see what you're doing

This are the main parts of Computer System.
