Turn a cheerful handmade bead and a leather loop into a custom clasp for a one-of-a-kind bracelet.

Materials 1 green/yellow/orange 18mm ceramic daisy lentil 4 green/yellow/orange 30x10mm ceramic daisy 2-hole spacer bars 26 green 7mm rubber O-rings 18 brass 2mm spacers 25" of brown 3mm suede leather lace

Finished size 6½" (16.5 cm) (adjustable to 8" [20.5 cm])

String the ceramic lentil to the center of the leather lace. Use both

strands to form an overhand knot. Snug the knot behind the lentil. Use one strand to string the left hole of 1 spacer bar, approximately ¼" (6 mm) from the previous knot. Use the other strand to string the right hole of the spacer bar.

Use one strand to form an overhand knot. String 1 green O-ring,

1 brass spacer, and 1 green O-ring. Form an overhand knot. Repeat entire step with the other strand.

Use one strand to string the left hole of 1 spacer bar. Use the other

strand to string the right hole of the spacer bar.

Repeat Steps 2–3 twice. Use one strand to form an overhand knot.

String {1 green O-ring and 1 brass spacer} six times. String 1 green O-Ring. Repeat entire step with other strand.

Use both strands to form an overhand knot. Use both strands to

form an overhand knot approximately 1" (2.5 cm) from the previous knot. Use both strands to form an overhand knot approximately 1½" (3.8 cm) from the previous knot.

Tip: If you don't need an adjustable bracelet, skip the last knot and trim the leather ends to ¼" (6 mm).

Materials 14 amethyst 6mm rounds 1 lavender-and-brown 28mm ceramic donut 31 antique copper 3mm faceted spacers 1 antique copper 21x10mm S-clasp with two attached 6mm soldered jump rings 2 copper 4mm knot cups 79" (1 card) of carnelian size 8 silk beading cord with attached needle

Tools Scissors Ruler Crimping pliers Knotting tweezers Fabric cement glue Bead stop (optional)

Remove all the cord from the card. Stretch a small section. Repeat for

entire cord.

Tie a double overhand knot at the end of the cord opposite the

needle. Trim. Dab the knot with glue. Let dry. String 1 knot cup and close with crimping pliers. Attach the knot cup to one half of the clasp.

Tie an overhand knot. String 1 copper spacer and form an over-
