Changing the Word 1.What is the warning that God gives for anyone who adds or takes away from his word? edition of Novum Testamentum Graece, he had achieved a  work of which the consequen consequences ces were not only unknown to him at the time, but also to the Wurtenberg Bible Society that made the edition possible. “If the Textus receptus at that time still had a number of defenders, the science, the science of the 19th century had however, finally proved it to be the worst text of the New Testament. The RSV and NIV are both you so ambiguous it itcould be spiritualized into meaning anything would want to mean. 9

 

Mark 2:17, “I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” (RSV) Mark 2:17, “I have not come to call the righteous but sinners.” (NIV) Mark 2:17, “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance repentance.” .” (KJV) NOTE: In the King James, Jesus is calling sinners to something, to repentance. In the others, he is just calling them. He could be calling them to do anything. Mark 6:11, “And “And if any place will wi ll not receive receiv e you and they refuse refus e to hear you, when you leave, shake off the dust that is on your feet for a testimony testimony against against them.” (RSV) Mark 6:11, “And whosever shall not receive you, nor hear you,  when you depart thence, thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against agains t them. Verily Verily I say unto you, it shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.” NOTE: Why do you think that verse has been removed? Why do you think they’ve removed the verse that says it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha? Because they do not believe in a judgment. Money’s not the problem, it’s making an idol of money that’s the problem. You can be rich, and you can do a lot of good for the Lord God. So, the King James in the only here that makes any sense. Remember, they don’t believe in the Atonement and if they don’t believe in the Atonement, they don’t believe that Jesus shed one drop of blood for you.  John 10:14, “I am the good shepher shepherd, d, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.”  John 10:14, “I am the good shepher shepherd; d; I know know my own and and my own know me.” (KJV) NOTE: In view of the next succeeding words, “As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father,” this change destroys the 168)exquisite diversity of expression of the original. It makes grammatical sense and it gives the relationship between Father and Son, which means that Jesus is God. It’s a subtle change to remove some of the power of Jesus Christ.

I’ll I ’ll tell you why. why. Revelation 14:5, “And in their mouth no lie was found, for they are spotless.” (RSV) Revelation 14:5, “No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless.” (NIV) Revelation 14:5, “And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.” NOTE: In the King James, we have an accountability to God. In the other verses, God is left out of the picture. Revelation 22:14, “Blessed are those who wash their robes…” (RSV, NIV, ASV) Revelation 22:14, 22:14 , “Blessed are they that do his commandments that they may have the right to the tree of life.” (KJV) 13

 

NOTE: In the first one there is no obedience implied, not even a mention of the commandments of God. In the second one, the commandments seem to be the focal point of the entire  verse. Which one do do you think is the most logical? logical? What do they leave out? “Get ye behind me, Satan.” Why do they leave that out? The expression, “get thee behind me, Satan,” was early omitted because Jesus J esus used the same expression expr ession later to Peter, Peter, in Matthew 16:23, to rebuke the apostle. They wouldn’t want the same spirit to be confused because this has something to do with the doctrine of Peter eventually becoming a Pope. It’s quite a complex issue but there’s a good reason why they took it out. In the NIV, the punishment is an act in the present. THE DIRECT ATTACK ON JESUS CHRIST Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, a young woman shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” (RSV) Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” (KJV) 16

MY DECISION FOR JESUS… I understand that I am not saved by a Bible Version, and I also understand that the King James Version isn’t the only version I can use, but I am now aware of some of the changes in the NIV and RSV.
