Twenty seven nakshatras are used in three simhasanas as shown In the table below. Each slmhasan has allotted 9 nakshatras. Slmhasan I - has 9 nakshatras from Ashwinl to Ashlesha( 1-9). Slmhasan II - has next 9 nakshatras Magha to Jyeshta ( 10-18). Slmhasan Ill- has next 9 nakshatras Moola to Revatl (19-27). In this scheme simhasan has 3 nakshatras of Mars, Simha has 6 nakshatras of Moon and Rahu, patta has 6 nakshatras of Sun and Jupiter. aasan has 6 nakshatras of Venus and Saturn and aadharhas the rest 6 nakshatras of Ketu and Mercury.
