With plenty of Fire element in 2014 year’s bazi chart, the Wood Horse year brings with it plenty of optimism and cheer on the good side. This is especially the case with a double Lap Chun (Double Spring) in the year of 2014. On the flip side, there may be plenty of aggression, impulsiveness and impatience. 1) SOUTH (#8 White Star) One of the most auspicious star #8 is made even more auspicious as we enter into the period of 8. For the year 2014, it has flown from the Northeast to the South. In year 2014, the South (provided it is not the kitchen, toilet or storeroom) of every office/ home is the luckiest sector. Activating this sector will bring occupants good luck and prosperity this year. The South can be activated with lots of lighting, activities, crystal (8 crystal balls), number 8 crystal or crystal cluster. For more opportunity or fame luck, a glazed crystal (Liuli) Birds with blooming flowers (bringing recognition and opportunities) or Wealth Ship (bringing new source of income/ revenue) can also be placed,. Crystals which represent the Earth element will strengthen the 8 in the South. It is thus great to spend time in this sector in 2014 (unless it is the kitchen, toilet or storeroom) to enjoy prosperity, good fortune and relationship with others. 2) SOUTHWEST (#1 White Star) The Southwest sector is visited this year by the White Victory star 1. This star brings with it, literacy luck, enhanced income, profiting potential and excellent career luck. More metal, gold or silver or white colours can be placed here to activate for better career luck. Those residing in rooms or with main entrances in the Southwest corner of your office/ home will benefit from the auspicious energy, bringing trumph and success in 2012. Tap into its good energy by displaying the victory banner or tortoises figurine especially those made of metal, gold or bronze in this part of your office/ home or your living room. Activate this further by placing the Victory Banner or Lapis Globe in the Southwest of your living or dining room. Inauspicious Locations/Directions 5) NORTHWEST (#5 Yellow Star) The most unlucky of all stars is the #5 Yellow (wu wang) star. This vile star is in the Northwest in the year 2014. It will affect the father, elderly man or the leader in the office or household. If this is the main entrance sector or bedroom, it is important to stay protected against this vile star as it may block success and create problems for everyone in the family or office. This is especially when the Fire and Earth energies are very strong in the year 2014. Make sure that you place the 8” Mantra or the Tree of Life 5 element pagoda filled with either crystal chips or raw earth to symbolize the pagoda capturing and locking up this most unlucky star, else new products made in brass, bronze or other metal such as the Heart Sutra ritual bell or Kalachakra Stupa (cannot be placed in kitchen, bedrooms, toilets or on the floor) can be utilized as well. If the Northwest is a main activity area, ensure you have at least 2 of these cures. Spend as little time in this area as possible. Alternatively, hang up 6 pieces of 6 rod all metal wind chimes to counter this star. Do not disturb the Northwest this year, i.e. begin or end renovations, drill, knock or chop down trees, dig the earth. Minimise activity in the Northwest in order to avoid triggering off the destructive energies that cause serious misfortune. If this is the kitchen, it may be better to cook less as the fire energy from cooking may aggravate the misfortune 5 star. Else more metal pots and pans should be displayed out. Remove all earth element items such as crystals, porcelain vase or stone objects from this part of your office/ home. In addition, do not have any Fire (red, pink, orange) or Earth (yellow, beige, light brown) elements in these areas. Please note that unless suppressed, the wu wang (5 Yellow) brings severe illness, accidents and loss that occur in many aspects of life, especially if your main entrance is in the Northwest sector or you are utilizing it as an office or sleeping in a Northwest room. Prevention is better than cure, so do not wait until it is too late. 6) SOUTHEAST (#3 Jade Star) The #3 Jade star is often regarded as quite unlucky as it often brings conflict and argument to the company/ home or the aggravating energy of litigation and court cases. This is especially the case as it is at the main entrance, bedroom or facing of your office/ home. It is a wood star, and this year is located in the Southeast of the office/ home. Since the Southeast is the eldest daughter’s position, the daughters of the family will be subjected to more mood swings and may affect the harmony at home. This is especially the case if your main entrance or bedroom is in the Southeast sector in 2014, residents in this area will be easily stressed and relationships will be strained. In order to reduce the quarrelsome & argumentative tendencies, we need to control this star with more yin fire (eg Red colour) energy. The latest items such as the Flaming Magic Wheel or 3 Sun Mirros (not in bedrooms of couples) are also effective in controlling this conflict star. 7) EAST (#2 Black Star) The #2 black star is regarded as rather unlucky as it brings illness (flu, fever, cough bug or other serious illness) to the residents of the house. This year it has flown into the East of the home, though the Wood element of the East will control the illness Earth energies, it is still important to protect this part of your home, especially if your house or apartment is facing the East, the main door is facing or in the East sector or if your office/ bedroom is in this sector, it may bring about serious illness or residents may be more susceptible to viruses and falling ill easily. Remove all earth element items such as crystals, porcelain vase or stone objects from this part of your office/ home. In addition, do not have any Fire (red, pink, orange) or Earth (yellow, beige, light brown) elements in these areas. 8) NORTHEAST (#7 Red Star) The violent star #7, also known as the red star brings chances of burglary, theft and metal-related accidents , in 2014, it afflicts the young men or middle son of the family the most. It is a number that can cause accidents, mishaps and metal-related injury. It can also cause political turmoil and sparks aggressive behaviour that can become something serious very fast. The best way to overcome this star is to have a pair of rhinoceros or a blue rhinoceros with elephant, in addition, if you already have a water feature here in 2013 (unless it is your bedroom, kitchen, store or on the right side of your main door from inside looking out), you can keep it here to further protect and safeguard your home. It is important not to have too much metal or crystal or the colours of Earth (light brown, yellow or beige) and Metal (white, silver or gold) in the NE of the home/ office in 2014. More Blue or Grey should be used in this area. If your main entrance or bedroom is located in the NE of the house, it is important to carry a blue rhinoceros or black obsidian wulou charm for protection.

ANNUAL INAUSPICIOUS SECTORS Grand Duke Jupiter (Tai Sui) –SOUTH 2 IN 2014 nd The Grand Duke Jupiter (Tai Sui) occupies the 2 15 degrees (172.6 to 187.5 deg) of the South (S2) in 2014. Do not disturb the South in 2014, i.e. begin or end renovations, drilling, knocking of nails into walls, dig the earth. Make sure that you display a Pi Yao in this part of the office/ home to ensure that the Grand Duke Jupiter does not disturb you. Do not sit facing South 2 (172.6 to 187.5 deg) in 2014, even if it is one of your auspicious directions. Confronting the Grand Duke Jupiter brings the bad luck of defeat and failure in everything that you do. Three Killings (San Sha) – NORTH in 2014 The Three Killings (San Sha) occupies the North in 2013. You must not sit with the Three Killings direction behind you, even if you are facing your best direction; or, you risk the misfortune of accidents, lawsuits and gossip. The 3 Killings causes 3 kinds of loss, the loss of one’s good reputation, the loss of a loved one and the loss of wealth. As a remedy for this affliction, display 3 Divine Guardians or Ksiddigarbha with the 3 Celestial Guardians facing out(except for bedroom, kitchen, storeroom or toilets). In the case if it is the bedroom, kitchen, storeroom or toilets, place more silver or a metallic mystic knot in the North sector of your home. (Tip: Sit with the Three Killings direction in front of you in order to overcome its harmful effects.) In year 2014, do not sit with the North behind you, that is facing South, even if it is your best direction.
