ABSTRACT

Due to the pollution and formation of fo on the *00#! line insulators% repeated trippin of  ac transmission line occurs. These trippin occur mostl" in the inter months. Sudden fall in the flashoer oltae leads to the failure of insulator strin. Rain also adersel" affects the  performance of insulators dependin upon its intensit". &f lines are laid oer the salt #ilns there is a chance of deposition of ecessie fumes on the insulators and toer structures.
