H e r it age Wo rk The 877 and 875 are iconic in the history of Red Wing Shoe Company. The quality and versatility of their design has earned them a unique story that has taken them from the workplaces and fields of America to global recognition. Red Wing Heritage now continues that story with a renovation of the style, recalling an earlier design in the 877’s history. Inspired by the bold red leather used to craft the 877 and the 875 over thirty years ago, Red Wing Heritage is introducing the new Oro Legacy leather which will now be used to build these legendary boots. Supple and classic, Oro Legacy is a full-grain leather tanned using traditional methods. No pigment is added in the finishing process, which means the natural beauty and color of the leather is emphasized and every pair of boots is unique. This signature color from our past is a natural pairing with our 877 and 875, and Red Wing Heritage is proud to be returning these styles to their roots.

The cushion crepe wedge sole contains millions of unconnected, microscopic air cells which cushion every step but can’t soak up water. The wedge design supports the boot’s natural arch for added support where feet tire first. This sole insulates the foot against heat and cold and its Traction Tred pattern provides surer footing and better traction over rough terrain.

The S.B. Foot Tanning Company was first established along the banks of Trout Brook near Red Wing, Minnesota. Founded in 1872 by Silas B. Foot & George Sterling, the S.B. Foot Tanning Company has been a part of the Red Wing, Minnesota community for generations.

The Process Tanning hides into leather is the process of converting animal proteins into a stable material that will not easily break down. Once this conversion is attained, the leather can be finished in a number of ways to achieve the desired pliability, water resistance, and texture. Properly tanned leather can maintain its properties in excess of 50 years. S.B. Foot Tanning Co. uses fresh-prepared hides called “wet blue.” Wet blue refers to the blue tone of the hide derived from a high exhaustion tanning process. This leather product is very

stable, pliable and durable – a perfect starting point for highgrade leathers. To get to a finished state, the wet blue hides are re-wetted, shaved, and placed into massive wood drums to soak in tree oils, tanning agents, and dyes. The more time the leather has to soak in the chemicals and oils, the more penetration the leather receives - a helpful trait for concealing future scuffs and maintaining color consistency as the leather is broken in.

Smooth-Finished Leather Smooth-finished leathers (Chaparral, Featherstone, Retan and Settler) have a polished surface that enhances the true beauty and quality of the leather. By hand-selecting only the finest hides, our master tanner produces leather that’s not only beautiful but also abrasion resistant. CLEAN: Always clean excess dirt from your footwear to prevent wear and drying. For general cleaning, use warm water, a clean cloth and soft bristle brush. For more difficult areas, use Red Wing Shoes Leather

Cleaner with a clean cloth and brush. Remove cleaner with damp cloth and allow to dry. CONDITION: Apply Red Wing Shoes Boot Cream with a clean, soft cloth. Shine the boot by brushing with a soft horsehair brush. PROTECT: Add extra protection to preserve your footwear investment. Suede Or Roughout Leather Our roughout leathers (Abilene, Mohave and Muleskinner) are reverse suede leathers made in our tannery – S.B. Foot Tanning Co. Most tanneries employ a process of splitting and thinning hides to create the rough surface. S.B. Foot uses unsplit, heavyweight leather with proprietary tanning processes to give these leathers their unique, rough texture. CLEAN: Lightly rub the edge of the Suede Bar over the soiled area. For deep stains and marks, apply more pressure. If the stain or dirt still remains, wet both the Suede Bar and the stain with clean water and

repeat rubbing action. Let dry, then apply Suede Bar to remove water spots. Brush up nap with Suede Brush. CONDITION: For Muleskinner leather apply Mink Oil. Abilene and Mohave leathers require no conditioner. PROTECT: Red Wing Shoes Leather Protector provides an invisible shield from water, dirt, oil and mud. To extend the life of the boots, spray them with Red Wing Shoes Leather Protector before wearing them for the first time.

After authorization is granted, a return merchandise memo must accompany your return along with the original packing slip and the return authorization number from your Red Wing sales representative. Shoes returned without the return authorization number and the original packing slip will be returned to the dealer. A $10 per pair re-stocking fee will be charged on all authorized returns. LIMITED WARRANTY RELATING TO RED WING BRANDED FOOTWEAR Red Wing branded footwear products are warranted against defects in workmanship and materials. If within 6 months of purchase, a defect occurs in a Red Wing branded footwear product as the result of normal use, Red Wing Shoe Company, Inc. (“Red Wing”) will repair the defect or exchange the product. If a product defect occurs as the result of normal use within 6 to 12 months after purchase, Red Wing will repair the defect or issue a credit for 50% of the purchase price. If a product defect occurs as the result of normal use 12 months or more after purchase, Red Wing may, at its option, issue a fair and reasonable credit that can be applied to the purchase of Red Wing
