The Blood of Jesus By Creflo Dollar Like the climax of a battle in a movie or the epic stories of legendary heroes, the glory of your life is displayed in the power to overcome. The kind of power I’m referring to can’t be generated by your will. I’m talking about a supernatural enabling—something you possess now that you didn’t have before. My prayer is that you’ll meditate on the words of this booklet and experience something about the blood of Jesus that you might never have realized. Most of all, I want you to take advantage of the full blessing and empowerment of the Lord. I’m praying that your stronghold will forever be His blood—Amen!

Turn you to the strong hold,

ye PRISONERS OF HOPE: even today do I declare that I will render

double unto thee.

The Lord is a stronghold of defense for Believers who put their trust in Him. He is our stronghold in times of trouble. Many times, when Believers talk about strongholds, it is in a negative context. Second Corinthians 10:3-5 talks about “pulling down” strongholds. These types of strongholds are actually demonically constructed houses of thought that exist in a person’s mind, which must be destroyed by the Word of God. However, strongholds are not all negative. The Word of God, the presence of God, and the blood of Jesus are also strongholds that provide a safe haven from the attacks of the enemy. When Psalm 91:1 talks about the “secret place of the Most High,” it is talking about the blood of Jesus.

When Christians stay under the covering of the blood of Jesus by faith, they are absolutely protected and safe for all time, and throughout eternity. Zechariah 9:11-12 says, “As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water. Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even today do I declare that I will render double unto thee.” The blood of the New Covenant, which is the blood of Jesus, is a stronghold that is a place of security and prosperity.

Jesus’ shed blood purchased our DELIVERANCE from the works of Satan

Limited knowledge about Jesus’ sacrifice might lead someone to think that He only gave His life to cleanse us of our sins—which is a major part of our salvation; however, His sacrifice has purchased much, much more.  God made a costly investment—the shed blood of His Son—so that we could be free from bondage. Yes, there is tremendous power invested in the blood of Jesus, which gives us the ability to win in every area of life. Just think of how Jesus caused people to win while He walked the earth! Everyone who came in contact with Him and believed in His power to heal, deliver, and set free walked away a winner. As Believers, we can boldly proclaim that we have a blood-bought right to be free of bondage, whether that bondage comes in the form of sickness, financial problems, relationship issues, confusion, or stress. Jesus’ shed blood purchased our deliverance from the works of Satan. 

You were

PURCHASED with the precious blood of Jesus.

I want to encourage you to begin using the blood of Jesus in your personal battles by boldly proclaiming your blood-bought rights. When you do, you will get Heaven’s attention because God will always honor His Son. His blood has given you the victory over every battle you face! Begin to proclaim your status today. Speak your faith out loud concerning what the blood of Jesus has accomplished for you, knowing that your breakthrough is very near.

FIVE REASONS WHY THE BLOOD IS POWERFUL When we accept Jesus into our hearts, God looks at us through the blood Jesus shed. We are brought into right standing with Him, which is why we shouldn’t carry guilt and condemnation in our hearts. You were purchased with the precious blood of Jesus (1 Peter 1:18-19, AMP) and you are a child of God again.

The blood of Jesus has redeeming power (Hebrews 9:22, 1 Peter 1:18).

“In physical flesh, you were born into the laws that operate sin and death. But when you get born-again, you now have the opportunity to operate by a higher law that supersedes the law of sin and death called the law of life, which is in Christ Jesus. He sits on the throne of your life. You have been made a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17) and are a partaker of eternal life with Him!” Galatians 3:13-14 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

The blood of Jesus has cleansing power (1 John 1:7).

“Sanctification means turning away from evil and moving toward the things of God with all your heart. It is not a one-time event, but an ongoing process. When you separate from evil and obey God’s Word, your focus will be on doing what pleases God rather than sinning.” John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

The blood of Jesus has pacifying power (Colossians 1:20, AMP).

“When you submit to Him through prayer, you walk in the authority God has given you. Pray the will of God to be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. The peace of God will overshadow you when you are anchored in God’s Word. Your part is to keep your mind focused on Him instead of the problem. Even though we will have tribulation, we should be at peace because He has already overcome the world. He is inside of us, so this means that WE have overcome the world. God is capable of not only healing your spirit of hurt and frustration, but He can also restore your relationships. He wants to see you make the effort to respond in love.” Psalm 91:5, 7 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day . . . A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Isaiah 61:7 For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

The Blood of Jesus has reconciling power (Ephesians 2:13).

“God wants to forgive you the same way He would any other person who earnestly seeks His face. He doesn’t want you to condemn yourself. No matter what people may do or say to you, make a commitment to walk in the love of God. In doing so, you defeat the enemy and ensure God’s blessing on your life.” Ephesians 4:22-24 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

The Blood of Jesus has emboldening power (Revelation 1:5-6).

“God sees us as victorious, powerful, and triumphant through His Son Jesus Christ, and it is imperative we see ourselves the same way. Insist on looking at the victory that may not be visible in the natural realm just yet, but is certainly available to you in the spiritual realm. Your unwavering faith will pull your victory from the spiritual realm into the natural realm every time! We overcome the devil with the blood of the Lamb. We know what the blood has accomplished. And our word of our testimony should be testifying about what the blood has accomplished. So when you testify, that’s your knowledge of what the blood has done. It’s appropriating the blood of Jesus; you overcome the enemy. Jesus is the door; you can only enter Heaven through Him. The doors He has opened, no man can shut.” 1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us . . .

We overcome the DEVIL with the BLOOD OF THE LAMB.
