1.7) Modes Management
Operating Mode :
Running mode Maintenance Mode NO TEST MODE
Exploitation Mode : Remote/Local Substation : Remote, GTW accepts SCADA controls Take Control : define which SCADA port has the control SBMC Mode : controls by SCADA rejected all DP of the bay sent as “Suppressed SBMC” Bay mode Local : GTW refuses SCADA controls L1-10-DS Agile GTW Overview - Rev G - P 8

1.8) DS Agile GTW Settings 1) automatic logon : what for? At start-up, OS and gateway application must start directly. (No screen, no keyboard, no mouse)
2) SCADA deviation from protocol standard Registry keys to scope with customer specification (cf. MF chapter) Ex: Maintenance_if_dcnx_ethernet = 0
So the GTW goes in maintenance mode if SBUS is disconnected. Maintenance_if_dcnx_ethernet = 1 So the GTW sends to SCADA all DP as unknown with SBUS disconnection time

3.3°- Presentation GTW – Introduction
Substation Automation Control Unit (SACU) Wide Area Control Unit (WACU) Ensure automation inside a substation (SACU) or between substations (WACU) using IEC 61131-3
Hot stand-by redundancy available Fully configured within DS Agile configurator PC base solution without rotating part (XPe) No Additional PC (use the same gateway hardware)
Automatism capabilities : Slow automation given with Isagraf (5.22) runtime Executed with RTX2011 Kernel

Note : GTW Case, Automation has the priority in GTW
Windows XP Embeded
- The automation requires to install RTX on GTWs, A real-time extension for Win32 platform. - The RTX allows Windows to run only when all real-time processing is finished.

SCADA Protocol
Receives controls from Remote Control Point (SCADA)
Gateway
Automation IEC-61131
What does it mean ? - Data of the bay, managed by a GTW, are only transmitted to SCADA or upper network. Data are not transmitted to lower network. BCU / PROTECTION - Command (xPC and SetPoints) are only send to lower direction. The command of the bay are only transmitted to lower network
BCU / PROTECTION
It must be taken into account during the design of the automation. L1-10-DS Agile GTW Overview - Rev G - P 19

3.3°- Presentation GTW – Automatism Redundancy
It needs to install an additional network card to have this comunication Special NIC Card : Intel Network Card PRO/1000 GT •The automation runs simultaneously on both gateways (hot redundancy), but outputs are allowed only on the active gateway. • The redundancy of the gateway doesn’t manage the switch for the automation, it has to be made through another automation.
