Short Description

It's the Kobold Warrens!...

Description

The Kobolds Warrens This blueprint offers five fantasy locations that may house our little dirty friends: the kobolds. You are free to use these locations as lair for other kinds of monsters as kobolds “haunt” already existing locations. Short adventure ideas follow for each location.

Welcome The Blueprints product line offers you old-fashioned blue printed maps for using in your adventures and campaigns. For each map you get a blueprint version and a standard black and white version. The maps are all vector-based so you will get maximum print resolution. Despite their old fashioned appearance each map offers you a degree of customization, using the pdf technology at its best. A button (which will not be printed) on each map allows you to turn on and off the grid, eliminate the room numbers, get the walls filled, don’t show doors and furniture and many other options, depending on the kind of map. Each product features a classic fantasy adventure location: a dungeon, a keep, a temple complex, a thieves guild and so on. You can use these map as reference to build your own adventures or simply take them at hand in case your players go in an unexpected direction during the campaign. While offering you the best quality, these products are really inexpensive. The Rule the Dungeon© Feature This exclusive feature allows you to customize the look of your map by adding the furniture, toggle the grid, hide the room numbers and much more. On each sheet, you will find a big “Rule the Dungeon” button. This button will not be printed, so, don’t mind if it overlaps something on the map. By clicking on this button some options will be shown, as detailed below. A checkmark will appear beside the options active. The options available vary with products, below is a list of the most common options: • Numbers: toggle room numbers and text. • Furniture: toggle furniture. • Doors: toggle doors • Square/Hex Grid: toggle square grid and hexagonal grid. • No Grid: turn off the grid • Fill: toggle the black in the walls. • All: toggle default state/empty state (with just the walls).

Lair of the Necromancer

An old lair of a long-dead necromancer has been discovered by an ambitious kobold who wants to be a necromancer. He found an old artifact, which may allow him to create undeads. The kobold necromancer gains the control of the pacific tribe of kobolds dwelling in the nearby caves and uses them to obtain fresh corpses for experiments from the nearby hamlet. The PCs witness the stealing of corpses from the graveyard and pursue the kobolds to find out why they are stealing bodies. Old Cemetery

An old, abandoned cemetery has been infested by kobolds. They desecrated the tombs and made their warren in the crypts. But the dead do not like this invasion and begin to rise from the tombs and attack the kobolds. The PCs stumble in the cemetery and are caught in the middle of the conflict. Ruined Keep

The ruined keep has been home of various monsters in the past. While in the outside ruins wandering monster dwell for a while, kobolds dug deep in the backside mountain and established their warren there. The dirty little monsters use a secret passage to sneak outside during the night and steal goodies from adventurers and monster making camp in the ruins. The PCs are pursuing a thief who stole a precious necklace from a nearby manor. The thief made camp in the ruined keep and was baffled by the cunning kobolds and robbed of his booty. The PCs must dive into the kobold warren to retrieve the necklace maybe with the help of the thief. Abandoned Tower

Other Options Each map displays a star marking the “N” for “north”. You can change the orientation of your map by clicking on the star. Each time you click, the “N” rotates by 45 degrees. In order to avoid setting each map, you can use the Master Control Panel (MCP) on the following page. This control panel displays a “Rule the Dungeon” Button which controls all the maps at once. A box on the left of this button displays the state of the maps while using this button. Please note that the actions on the master button override all the actions made previously on the maps. In the MCP you will find also a star marking the “N”. By clicking on this star you’ll set the orientation of all maps at once; if you don’t want the star to be printed just use the checkbox on the MCP, just below the star. Furthermore two buttons on the MCP allow you to print only the blue maps or the black-n-white maps, so you don’t have to select each page and print it. A band of kobolds bandits have claimed this ruined tower as their hideout. The leaders of the kobolds are a sly shaman and a mighty warrior. The kobold brothers maraud the wagons of poor villagers in the vale below. The villagers are tired of this band of kobolds but do not dare to venture in the tower because they think it is haunted. The kobold shaman actually makes small illusions during the night to scare the villagers. The PCs must seek and vanquish this band of fearsome little monsters. Dwarven Burial Chamber

The dwarven burial chamber remained untouched for centuries because two mighty stone golems guarded its entrance. Recently an evil wizard got the control of the stone golems and took them away for his own purposes. The curious kobolds entered the burial chamber and desecrated the old resting place, retrieving in the process many ancient magical weapons. The tribe decided to set their warren in the burial chamber and begin to plunder the nearby country, being nearly invincible due to the magical weapons they found. The PCs manage to slay one of these super-equipped kobolds and decide to find out the source of these weapons...
