Delivery: Deliver insulation undamaged and in a dry condition. Materials received which are obviously not dry or otherwise damaged will be rejected.

B.

Storage: Store insulation on wood blocking and under a weather tight cover. Do not store on new concrete or on the ground.

MATERIALS

DISCIPLINE ENGINEER

Roof insulation shall be polyisocynurate PIR rigid foam with skin, as manufactured by SAPTEX. Density shall be 35kg/m3 or 2 lb./ft. compressive strength of 280 kPa (40 psi). Water absorption 1% in volume.

General: Keep insulation dry during and after application, and protect against excessive foot and wheel traffic. Cut insulation to fit neatly around projections, pipes and vents through roofing. Lay insulation loosely on top of roof metal or concrete slab Install only as much as can be covered by roofing membrane on the same day. Do not leave insulation exposed to sunlight or weather. Seal all edges of insulation adjoining vertical surfaces as recommended by the membrane roofing manufacturer.
