RS232 cable connector is DB9 type it should be connected to B2 connector of SA cable. The inverse terminal of RS232 cable should be connector to DC cabinet. As show in nether figure 3.

There are 2 types E1 cable: 75ohm and 120 ohm. Commonly, The 75ohm E1 cable should be used internal, the one terminal type of this cable is DB44

The especial aviation connector should be use in R8860 power cable, the connecter should be connected to RRU power interface , the inverse terminal are 4 core-cable(2

blue &2 black), the 2 blue to -48 port in OLP and the 2 black to -48 RTN port. As show in figure 1. n

The R8860 alarm cable should be connected between RRU and OLP , as show in figure 2.

The RRU AISG interface is 8 core aviation connector, The AISG cable should be used to connected between RRU and ALPD or NSBT or RCU interface in antenna. As show in nether figure 3. The are 3 kinds AISG cable: 3m, 6m, 10m.

• When there is not

enough space in BTS room, the BBU can be installed on the wall in narrow alleyway. The BC8180 cabinet can guard against thief and dustproof. But can’t be waterproof.

B8200 installation method 4 n

Installation requirement • This installation method can be action for no room condition.

Strongpoint • It is easy to get the power,W121 can support AC 220V and AC 380V.

Attention • Must take out dummy board

Installed in W121 cabinet

before B8200 installation, if there are not equipment in cabinet, then the dummy board must be used at right slot. • In cabinet, grounding point must be connected to grounding earth with 16mm2 cable.

The cable routing is extend down in M02 cabinet , as show in figure 1, there are three extending holes in the front of cabinet: • hole 1) : for cabinet grounding cable, transmission cable, and optical • hole 2) : standby channel • hole 3) : for power cable there are two extending holes in the back of cabinet: • hole 1) : AC 220V power cable • hole 2) : When battery should be used, the hole is for power cable and signal cable of temperature sensor. otherwise it is standby channel.

The temperature sensor should be put in the back of M02 cabinet, “environment temperature”is showed on the sensor cable, before installation, the protection paper must be took out from sensor, as show in figure 1

There is red cap on the smoking in M02, it must be took out before installation, in order to normal work. As show in figure 1.

The water sensor should be installed in the bottom of M02 cabinet, and redundant cable must be tied orderly, as show in figure.

The one terminal of RS232 cable is connected to LPU, and inverse terminal is connected to surveillance interface of M02 through back hole. As show in figure 4.

Ponder Question How to install the BBU on the wall when the wall is very weak method n The big wood board can be used and fix the board on the wall first, then fix the BBU rack on the wood board, as show in figure 1. n Make a support rack and install the BBU on the rack, as show in figure 2. n

The requirement of pole: the pole’s diameter must be 60mm 120mm

n

R8860 installation position must be under ½ of pole. Because there are not any metallic equipments(except antenna) in the back of antenna, the R8860 and OLP must be put under the antenna on the same pole.

n

The 16mm2 grounding cable must be connected to earthing system for R8860 and OLP. The cable length is less than 1m, and must keep within 2m, can’t connect OLP to R8860 and then R8860 to busbar with grounding cable.

• First unpacked all the material from the box. And check whether the material are in good condition. • Verify the material with the packing list. • Fix the supporting plate and clamp together with using the nut/bolt and use the washer in proper manner.

OLP installation procedure

Internal Only?

• Take out the OLP and accessories from the box.

OLP assembling

Fix the OLP accessories like clamp on then back side of the OLP and tighten the screw using the proper washer

OLP assembling(Outdoor Lightening Protection)

• Put the long nut bolt and support clamp and make for fixing the OLP on the pole. • Be sure that all the washer has been used in correct sequence.

OLP(Outdoor Lightening Protection) assembling

• Fix the OLP box on pole using the clamp and tighten all the nut bolt. • The minimum distance between RRU and OLP should be 300mm.

• P1 port –For power cable connection from OLP to DC PWR •P2 Port –For Power cable connection from RRU to OLP •ALM Port –For RRU MON cable connection. •GND Port –For OLP grounding.

• Connect 1 end of Power cable connector to PWR port at RRU end, connect another end power cable to OLP. •For alarm cable connect one end of cable connector to RRU at MON port and another end to OLP at ALM port. •Same procedure we have to do for 2nd RRU.

OFC Cable installation Procedure

OFC cable connection at RRU end STEP1 • The OFC cable is very delicate cable handle it carefully. • First take out one end of OFC cable from the role. • First open the outer cap of OFC connector.

•Take out the softer part of OFC from outer cover by just lightly pulling.

•Remove the dust cover(white cap) from the OFC cable. •Be aware don’t touch the top point OFC.

•Connect the OFC connector safely to the LC1 connector at RRU end. • Don’t bend the OFC cable at connector end.

•Fix the outer cap and fasten it properly to the RRU. • Make sure that OFC cable not getting bend more then its specified radius. •Weatherproofing above the cap as per weatherproofing process. Note:- Same procedure we have to follow for all sector RRU as well as for cascading.

Preparation and Specifications of Antenna Feeder Connector — 7/8 DIN Feeder Connector

2. Straighten the feeder to be installed with the connector and strip off a section of sheath of the feeder with a guarded knife. Keep the notch flat when stripping the feeder.

3. At the place about 28 mm away from the stripped point, cut off the feeder with a Andrew Cutter or other Feeder cutter tools. The section must be flat and on the wave crest of the feeder.

Weather proofing on connectors

• All the outdoor connectors like RRU, Antenna etc connectors need to do the weather proofing as per standard. • The procedure for weather proofing is 1Three layer of insulation tape.(down to top>top to down) 2- Three layer of weather proof. (down to top>top to down) 3- Three layer of insulation tape. (down to top>top to down) After completion of process need to put three ties.

Outdoor Lightning Protection Box(OLP) n

The OLP support DC -48V and AC 110/220V, the two kinds of OLP: DC OLP and AC OLP.

R8860 surveillance cable should be connected to OLP with one pairs(white and brown), other cable can be put it , as show in nether figure 1 & 2.

Ponder Question n Can we install the RRU on the back of antenna when pole is very short Answer n Can’t do it reason n Because antenna is a radiation equipment, the metallic equipment can’t be put on back of antenna, otherwise the metallic equipment shall affect antenna eradiation wave,.

Ponder Question n How to connect the power cable when AC RRU is installed in building Answer n No need the LP when RRU is installed in building. n When RRU is near the ACDB, we can connect it to ACDB with special power cable. n If the distance is long between RRU and ACDB, we can add a new air-break or ACDB near RRU, first connect the air-break & ACDB to main ACDB with ordinary AC power cable, then connect RRU to air-break & new ACDB with special power cable.
