SETTING EXERCISE FOR REF615

Setting exercises for REF615 by using the local HMI Use the navigation push buttons to navigate in the menu structure. To change a setting, press the Enter button. The user authorization is set off in the training relays. You can first use about 10-15 minutes for browsing in the different menus to see what information is available in the menu tree. Please do not change the IP address of the relays in the training room. All REF615 relays and the computers are in the same network and a specific IP address is reserved for each relay and computer. The IP address of each relay is mentioned in the sticker near the relay. You can also check the IP address for the rear port via relay menu Main menu / Configuration / Communication / Ethernet / Rear port(s)

Change the following parameters Change the overcurrent protection 3I> settings (setting group 1). You should find the setting via the following menu: Settings - Settings - Edit Group 1 - Current protection - 3I> Operation: On Start value: 2.0 x In Operate delay time: 750 ms Operationg curve type: IEC Def. Time Measurement mode: DFT

SETTING EXERCISE FOR REF615

Change the settings of the trip logic. You should find the settings via the following menu: Configuration - Trip logic - Master Trip(1) Trip pulse time: 160 ms Trip output mode: Non-latched

Set the threshold voltage for the binary inputs. Main Menu/Configuration/ I/O modules / Common settings Threshold voltage: 32V

Inject current to the relay by using the SIM600 simulator. Verify the operation of the start and trip leds and indications on the display. Use Clear button to clear the Indications, LEDs and Alarm LEDs after each trip. Read the fault records. Main Menu/Monitoring / Recorded data / Fault record 1....4

Open and close the circuit breaker by using the local HMI: At first set the Local / Remote button to Local mode (L). The interlocking rules in REF615 are programmable. In the training relays the interlockins are programmed as follows: Open the CB: Close the CB:

Always possible Earth-switch has to in open position and protection trip signal is not active and CB truck (disconnector) is in OK position

Try to open and close the circuit breaker by using Open (0) and Close (I) buttons in the relay HMI. Try also close the circuit breaker when the earthswitch is closed.
