Writing is primarily about organizing information and communicating meaning.



Writing is a recursive process. …Writing is not a highly organized linear process, but rather a continual movement (Gardner & Johnson, 1997).

This millennium has been coined the “writing-est” of times… Words fly over the airwaves at the blink of an eye. With each new technology advance, the speed increases and so does pressure (Miller, 2006)

Why write? 

To communicate feelings, emotions, ideas (It is inevitable.)



To record data and events (for documentation.)



To preserve memories and ideas (It is permanent.)



To elaborate, explain ideas (It is systematic.)
