ALWAYS use platforms and scaffolds, fixed or movable, which comply with the established safety requirements. ALWAYS use the fall protection equipment whenever there is a fall hazard. ALWAYS “LOCK-OUT/TAG-OUT” the main switch when the power supply is not required for the work to be done. NEVER work in the proximity of moving parts or unprotected electrical components. ALWAYS put the elevator on inspection when working on top of the car (prior  to access, whilst on top of the car and when exiting). NEVER travel on top of the car at the rated speed. ALWAYS put the elevator on inspection when working in the elevator pit (prior  to access, whilst in the pit and when exiting). ALWAYS follow the correct procedure for using temporary shunts whenever  they are necessary. ALWAYS follow the correct procedures for hoisting and suspending loads.
