渔业文凭课程主要学习的是关于渔业的理论与实践，如：生产、加 工处理以及资源管理。此课程也会学习到渔业对经济、环境和社会 文化的影响。 学生将学习到鱼类和无脊椎动物的生物学(biology)、生态(ecology) 以及进化过程(evolution)。此外，学生也将学习关于水生环境微生 物(microorganism)的知识，如：与水生生物之间的关系、所造成的 疾病以及控制这些微生物的方法。此科系学生不止学习如何管理渔 业的生态系统(ecosystem)和相关的政策(policy)及法律条文，也须学 习市场行销(marketing)和渔业产品的加工处理(processing)，如：防 腐技术。 学生也将学习到一些关于水产养殖的知识，如：各种鱼类的饮食习 惯和所需的营养成分、鱼类的健康管理、水质及土质管理，还有水 产养殖的系统设计。 除此之外，学生也会接触到航海与导航的知识，如：计算用来捆绑 货物的系绳强度、辨别船只的种类、引擎、设计及功能、港口停泊 过程，还有用来进行沟通的摩斯密码(Morse code)。 备注： ● 马来语及英语教学，但使用英文课本。部分科目由英文教 学。

水产养殖学主要是一门更深入研究及了解水生系统及水里生物的构 造以及习性等。学生需学习各种渔业科学与技术方面的基本理论以 及知识。 通过此科系，学生不仅会学习如何将水产商业化，如：水产养殖经 济学(Aquaculture Economics)，也将学习如何提高水产的品质研究。 学生将会学习有关各种水产养殖的科学知识，如：水的 pH 值，鱼 的 饲 料 ， 水 的 咸 度 (Water Salinity) 和 水 生 环 境 保 护 条 例 (Aquatic Environmental Protection Regulations)等等。学生也会接触一些渔业 与水产业的管理知识、水产品的加工、销售等课题。此外，学生也 会多方面的学习到养殖生态(Breeding Ecology)与管理水产养殖场。 学生会通过实验(lab)来更加了解鱼类的内部构造等等。不止如此， 学生也将会通过校外教学(field trip)来抽取水样品之类的以便进行研 究 水 质 的 工 作 。 养 殖 场 水 质 管 理 (water quality management for aquaculture)是必修科目之一，用以研究水质与鱼类之间的关系以及 如何平衡它们。 备注： ● 此 科 系 的 核 心 课 程 (Core Courses) 和 选 修 课 程 (Elective Courses)是以英文教学，但大部分还是随讲师而变。 ● 登大是国内唯一一间拥有咸水养殖研究中心的大学，名为 Institute of Aquaculture Tropical (Aquatrop) ，并享誉于国内 外 。 此 外 ， 位 于 登 嘉 楼 的 肯 逸 湖 也 有 一 所 Aquaculture Research Centre。

航海科学与海运主要学习有关航海技术、国际海洋沟通、国际航海规 则。 学生将会学习导航技术(navigation)，控制及管理船只。此外，学生也 学习如何使用天体及地面标记导航并利用六分仪(sextant)来计算船只 的地理位置以及学习制作海图(chart work)以计算出航海的路线、海流 深度、海域交通和危险地带等等。学生也学习如何控制与保养船只， 也就是航海技术(seamanship)。海上通讯(maritime communication)也是 此科必修科。学生将学会海事与航海的国际通用策略性通讯，如：船 只对飞机、飞机对船、岸对船或船队岸的联络方式用以沟通或求救。 学生也极力推荐参加海军制服团体(PALAPES-laut)以训练纪律、体能 和提高本身的市场价值。 备注： ● 除了部分大学必修科(University Courses)以马来文教学外，此 科系的核心课程(Core Courses)和选修课程(Elective Courses)是 以英文教学。 ● 从 2011/2012 年开始，选读此科系的学生需要接受系主任 (Ketua Jabatan)的面试。
