1.How one should apply for IIT JAM Online?

Go to the link which is provided by JAM Official website . http://jam.iitm.ac.in/jam2016/apply.php follow the instructions & apply.

2. I have Login Problem in JAPS Website?  If you have forgotten your password, click on 'Forgot Enrolment ID or Password?' button in the JAPS login page, then click the 'Request for an OTP' button and provide mobile number, E-mail address and Enrolment ID.

 If you have forgotten the both than you must have re-register using different email id.   If you have forgotten your Enrolment ID only, click on 'Forgot Enrolment ID or Password?' button in the JAPS login page than click on the forgot enrollment id and provide mobile number and E-mail address. Enrolment ID will be sent via SMS/Email.

3. My internet connection failed during the application process?  If you have pressed “save” during the application process than your data is saved already, you only have to login to the site.  if you did not click on save button than you have to fill from starting.

 

4. I have a problem in uploading my photograph and/or signature to the JAPS site?  The reason behind this that you are not following the instructions.  It is mentioned on website that photo & signature are needed in which format or in which size.  Read that & again start uploading, you will get your solution  

5. How do I make the application fee payment for JAM examination?  You can do the payment in online mode or offline mode.  Online payment by Net banking/debit card/credit card.  In offline mode submit the challan at SBI Branch.

6. My bank account has been debited but JAPS website says that the payment has not been received. What should I do?  This problem occurs because of failure in internet transactions.  Do the payment again. The money which debited will be credited to you again.  You will be charged only once.  

7. Why should I choose three examination cities?  Generally, you will be allotted a center in the examination city of your first choice.  In very few cases where it becomes difficult to accommodate you are allotted to your other two city preference.

8. Will I be provided the paper sheets for rough work and calculations during the test?

Yes, Scribble pad will be provided to you.
