Introduction to Huna Workshop This is a set of energy work practices given by attunement. The functions given in these attunements and the information and practices are drawn from the teachings and practices now called Huna. There are thousands of different traditions which were taught in family groups in Hawaii. This workshop cannot encompass more than a few of the concepts and principles of these ancient practices. This workshop is primarily an energy work system utilizing energies and information from Hawaiian Kahuna teachings. The teachings of Huna are universal. This workshop draws upon these universal teachings as preserved in the Hawaiian Islands. We have chosen to limit the use of Hawaiian words and terms. The teachings in this workshop are based on those preserved from ancient times and predate the fear-based taboos and repression later imposed by invaders and the arrival of people from oppressive cultures.

What is Huna? Huna is a modern word adapted from the word Kahuna by Max Freedom Long to apply to the spiritual practices as kept in the ancient Hawaiian culture. Max Freedom Long's search for the healing secrets of the Kahuna (experts) was primarily done by exploring the root words and meanings of the Hawaiian language The social, political and legal climate during his lifetime prevented him from getting information directly from those Hawaiian people who had preserved "Secrets" of the Kahuna. The practice and teaching of these spiritual practices (Homana) is now legal and some more information has since been shared by those who had preserved teachings. In most Kahuna practices, Mana is acquired and wisdom is developed by practicing exercises, meditations, energy work, chanting, sacred dance, trance visualizations or other components of specific schools and families of the practices. Most Huna experience is internal and spiritual and goes beyond language. With Huna practice, we can become happy, we can become wiser, we are able to manifest our dreams. We develop an understanding of how the universe really works. We are connected and embraced by the Earth and all the beings that live on and in our world. This workshop uses attunement to transmit the ability to do energy work and to enhance the various practices and meditations.

Shakti Shakti is often used as a term for any spiritual energy frequency that can be called in and "run" or used/received for some spiritual purpose. They are found in spiritual traditions world wide and functions usually presented in other forms can also be transmitted as shakti. There is an almost infinite variety of shakti. The healing energy that people feel from crystals etc. could be classed in some cases as shakti. The term is often used only for healing/spiritual energies with "intelligence' rather than for any general vibrational frequency. i.e., shakti does not just refer to an ambient vibration and does not apply to all sensed energy, but only to healing or spiritually effective frequencies of energy. The ability to work with shakti is traditionally the result of many years of study, practice and experience of spiritual and esoteric matters. These abilities can be received by an attunement or transmission to the aura from a person who is able to transmit/ facilitate attunements for a particular energy work system. These abilities or information can also be received directly from Spirit or through osmosis by spending time with people or information who are well skilled in this work and some seem to be a reawakening of past life skills.

Receiving Attunements Not everybody feels attunements or energy but provided you accept the attunement by intending to get it and allowing it to come in (and it is good for you to get it), you will receive the attunement set. Many people can feel attunements as they are done, as heat or waves of energy flowing into their body or they may see light or even images or hear music. Many people do not have any such experience at all, other than perhaps feeling both more relaxed and energized than usual. Most people, but not all, who regularly feel subtle energies are able to feel some of the energy coming in. Attunements of any kind effect transformations to the energy field (aura). This opens, clears and connects the recipient to the ability to use the universal energy, in accord with the purpose and functions of the particular system or set of functions being attuned to. To receive them by remote attunement, you should mentally intend to receive and accept them at the prearranged time if it is accord with your highest good. It is preferred that if possible you set aside about half an hour to forty five minutes to accept the attunements by relaxing and being in a receptive meditate state. Using the Functions and Shakti Once you have been attuned, you can access the activatable functions added by the attunement by intention which means to mentally intend/ request the function to activate. This is not a matter of will or forcefulness but just a way of switching on a function and allowing it to run. For some of the shakti, you do usually need to maintain a light focus or intention to be running the shakti to keep it running. Other functions, as noted, are activated by intention and run to completion without further attention. Many people do feel tingling or get warm hands when they run shakti or activate a function, but not everyone does. Some of the shakti are “autonomous,” meaning that they function with no conscious input on your part. You do need to mentally activate the function you want to use; it does not take a strong push of will. It should be a gentle but firm mental intention. This is probably the most challenging part of the very first time you work with a shakti or other energy function. Once you get the hang of the first one, it will be quite easy in the future. Autonomous Functions activate themselves as needed and run to completion without any action on your part. Definition Of Huna And Principles Huna is a powerful and transforming system of practices, teachings, philosophy, energy work and more. The word Huna means, among other things "secret" and has only been used as the name of this spiritual framework in modern times. The word Kahuna can mean keeper of the secret but is more often defined as expert and could refer to an expert in any field. Huna is not a religion at all; it is a remarkably freeing experience that expresses itself in every moment and action of life with great joy. The psychological insights alone are certainly among the most complete, effective and profound existing on this planet today. Practicing Huna can lead to a great joy and emotional strength and an awareness of the nurturing nature of the Earth. Over time, Huna practice can lead to an amazing experience of wholeness and connection that becomes over time, your most natural state of mind and awareness. The Huna way of life and philosophy teaches that the key to living a fulfilled life lies in the awakening and integration of your subconscious self, conscious self, and higher self. It offers us a vision of life centered in Love, a way of the heart with Humankind, Nature, and the Divine as harmonious parts of a cosmic community. This is not to say that the body, mind, and spirit are separate entities in the first place, but the illusion of separation is often prevalent in "Western"

thought. A basic rule of Huna is distilled as "NO HURT, NO SIN". Huna is universal in scope. Legend traces Huna back to Lemuria (Mu). it is most certainly among the oldest of spiritual teachings preserved and alive on this planet today, and is a treasure trove of practical wisdom and spiritual insight. Huna is centered in the here and now. It deals with the mundane day to day reality in the physical world while also helping practitioners to reach states of great awareness and clarity. The practice of Huna produces results in personal growth, greater happiness, and the ability to affect the environment in a positive way. The unseen forces that produce these effects are quite real. Huna is often called a Psycho-Spiritual tradition and often classed as Shamanic. Huna and Kahuna teachings are not easily defined and can never be confined into any one definition. The Hawaiian language is complex and many –layered; one word can have a multitude of meanings. This is quite important in exploring these traditions because one word may expand to conceal/reveal volumes of meaning. Huna is primarily an experience rather than an intellectual pursuit, though all aspects of self and reality are honored and harmonized. The mind, the body, and the spirit are given equal weight and harmonizing the three of four selves (including the higher Spiritual realities as well as the personal reality and outer realities and realms) is of major importance in many Huna traditions . One meaning of the word Huna is secret or hidden. This is in the sense of sacred and were revealed or revealed themselves only after much care and preparation. Traditionally a teacher would give hints and guidance that allowed a student to discover a principle themselves. Then the teacher would confirm the understanding. These practices have been suppressed for many centuries and are now being revealed from the many places they have been kept safe. The true purpose of a secret is to temporarily conceal something in order to provide a delightful surprise at the chosen moment. As humankind evolves we will all become able to connect with the spiritual realities and formerly hidden information at will. This may seem rather sparse information at this time; however, it may be more than is given at the traditional introduction to Huna, particularly as historically an initiate would be immersed in Huna from birth and would have acquired much experience even before becoming aware of it consciously. The Hawaiian language is deeply layered with meanings; the full and complete understanding of the principles could take a lifetime of exploration. It is very difficult to explain what Huna is, perhaps in part because of the tradition of secrecy but mostly because it is better experienced than explained, rather than relying on intellectual definitions. Seven Huna Principles (from Serge King) Awareness: The world is what you think it is. Freedom: There are no limits. Concentration: Energy flows where attention goes. Persistence: Now is the moment of power. Love: To love is to be happy with. Confidence: All power comes from within. Wisdom: Effectiveness is the measure of truth. Huna Visualization People often say that receiving the Huna attunements is like having a vacation in the islands. Visualization is a part of traditional practices. So imagine yourself walking by the warm azure waters along on a white sand beach shaded by palm trees. The air is fragrant with exotic and healing flower scents. Rainbows appear and disappear as the sun shines onto mists carried on

gentle winds. Just off the edge of the beach under the trees, you find a sheltered spot by a fresh water spring. Here you are surrounded by all the abundance and beauty of nature. Here you will receive the blessing of the Islands and some of the secrets of Huna. Attunements and information

Mana The life force is called Mana and learning to build up, call in and use Mana allows you to do healing and manifest changes in your life. There are many schools of Huna. Huna practice does involve direct contact with spiritual guides and energies and great intuitive awakening. The use of chanting, breath work, meditations and energy work is common to many Huna traditions. Some include initiation practices and attunements to the aura to assist the student in connecting with the spiritual forces involved. This workshop uses attunements and has more focus on energy work than other methods. Huna taught about the power of the subconscious centuries before the Western recognition of psychology and has effective therapy for many of the emotional and mental distresses common today. Huna is wonderful for emotional healing. Huna practice leads rapidly to a real feeling of being blessed and nurtured by the Earth and development of qualities of heart and courage and a grounded spiritual awareness. Some Huna schools include techniques for hands on healing and for dissolving emotional conflict, manifesting abundance and many other blessings. Different schools may use various techniques to achieve these results but they all work. The Practice of Huna does involve work with Aumakua, the Spiritual Guides of Huna. There are three kinds of Mana. Mana is the vital force which flows through the body, called chi, ki, prana, etc. in other cultural contexts. Mana can flow over the aka threads, flow through the body and to other people. Mana-Mana is stronger than regular Mana and is used by the middle self in thinking and empowering the will. ManaLoa is the highest "voltage" of Mana and is the transformational Mana which can empower change and manifest ideas into reality. We use the word Mana to designate any and all of the three kinds of Mana. 1. Mana Carrying Energy Body Enhancement: autonomous Increases the ability of your energy channels to hold and carry more and higher qualities of Mana 2. Aura Strengthening Attunement: autonomous Attunement for strengthening and improving your energy body; initially works primarily the etheric and emotional bodies but will work on other energy bodies as well. 3. Mana Fountain Attunement And Meditation: activate by intention Calls in Mana, and causes it to rise and fill you in the way that water rises in a fountain. This can be activated by intention at any time. This shakti is more effective if you meditate on the idea or image of the Mana rising like water in a fountain filling and overflowing and continuously circulating and being replenished. 4a. Earth Blessings Attunement: autonomous Huna teaches a connectedness to all of life and the ability to direct energy to assist the Earth in return for that support.

6

An autonomous attunement which increases the awareness of being close to and connected with the Earth and of awareness and appreciation of being nurtured by the earth. It increases your ability to participate and receive healing from and with earth energies. It increases the sense of inner aliveness and connectedness with all of life. It also facilitates the ability to receive healing energy from the Earth and to transmit certain appropriate healing energies to the Earth and all within its sphere. This is autonomous and runs automatically as needed. Over time, you will becomes more and more aware of the nurturing and loving aspects of the Earth and be aware of being loved and supported by nature and connected to all of life. 4b. Earth Blessings Booster: activate by intention Adds the ability to receive a boost of the Earth blessings energy by intention and to share it with others like a shakti. This may remain dormant in some people until they adjust to the Huna energies (usually about a month). 5. Ha Breath Method And Attunement: activate by intention Attunement for improving breathing in general and particularly for improving the "Ha" exercise Instruction In Ha Breath Exercise Breath is an important part of Huna, Ha, the breath. Breath is not only the breathing of the lungs, it is the Sacred, the Spirit, the essence. We practice deep breathing to connect us to all life. We in our bodies are oxygen burners, and deep full breath increases our functional efficiency dramatically, we breath in not only the oxygen we need but also the Mana, the Ki, the Chi, Prana, the life force energy we must have not only into our lungs but into our every pore and part of our being our three selves our energy bodies (aura) and our physical form or body. The Practice of Ha Breathing has variations in different Huna schools but is found in most Huna traditions in some form. Take a deep breath through your nose quickly, not so deeply as to be uncomfortable or cause strain. then exhale slowly through the mouth, making the sound "ha" as you exhale, just a soft sound on the exhaled breath; do not exhale so greatly as to cause discomfort. It is traditional for men to breath in from the sky and for women to breath in from the earth. Take a deep, slow breath in through the nose. Pause about 1-2 seconds then Release the breath through your open mouth with a soft drawn out "ha" sound Pause about 1-2 seconds Take the next breath in the same way. The mouth is only partially opened not widely. It is suggested that you repeat the Ha Breath at least four times in groups of four. Do not hyperventilate. Others variations (from different Huna branches) may use a different number of repetitions or do not specify number of repetitions. My teachers recommend standing with feet apart, knees slightly bent and hands held slightly out to the side and forward with palms upward. but you can also do the Ha Breath while seated. As you release your breath, let the exhalation carry off and release all your tensions and troubles. As you breath in, let yourself be aware of pulling in the healing breath to fill each part of your being with healing light and energy. You may become more focused and mentally clear and energized in a calm and peaceful way from doing the Ha Breath. This can be done as many times a day as you want. It is nice to do this each morning. This breath form is used in many Huna traditions as a prelude to active prayer, meditation and manifestation or affirmation processes as it builds up an extra supply of Mana (life force) which

7

Huna Empowerments

can be used to amplify these efforts. Also known as the Ha rite this breath is often used to build Mana and focus before offering prayers and for manifestation. Piko Piko Breath Another Huna breath form is the Piko-Piko breath, in which the attention is shifted between the crown on the inhale and the navel on the exhale as you sit comfortably. This will help with grounding and centering and help you reach a state of relaxed spiritual alertness in which you may be able to receive guidance from spiritual source. 6. Breath Of Life Enhancement: autonomous and can also be activated by intention Transforms the ability of the physical breath to create, collect, assimilate, and hold spiritual energy. Will slowly increase vitality and stamina. You may become aware of your whole body "breathing,” even organs and bones. You can activate this when you do any breath type meditation. 7, 8, 9. Nervous System, Circulatory System And Organ Enhancements: autonomous and can also be activated by intention These attunements permanently improve the functioning of these systems by increasing the ability of the Etheric energy body templates to use Mana. 10. Heart Foundation Attunement (for self only): activate by intention Huna does a great deal of work on developing qualities of heart and character. Important goals are enthusiasm, zest or saying yes to life, courage, and the ability to give and receive unconditional love. This activatable attunement develops and strengthens these qualities. The effects grow stronger with repeated use. Activate shakti by saying or thinking with intention "Heart Foundation.” It is recommended that you use this at least once a day. 11. Eye of Kanaloa Flower Attunement: activate by intention This is a foundation attunement for working with heart energies which assists the Heart Foundation Attunement in developing positive qualities of the heart. Activate shakti by intention; this attunement supports the previous one and its shakti can be activated simultaneously. 12. Subconscious Cleansing Attunement: activate by intention To help dissolve emotional conflicts at the subconscious level. Each use does a small amount of work, but over time the effect is cumulative. For best results, activate shakti by intention (think or say Subconscious cleansing) one to three times daily. This may be used for self and for others and will run to completion by itself once activated. 13. Mental Clearing Shakti : activate by intention This is an activatable shakti for self and for others which enables you to clear negative thought forms from the aura, whether they are from the individual or from the environment. This shakti will also help remove and release negative energy cords. Activate by intention. Some people find this more effective when run hands on directly into the crown chakra. 14. Detoxification Shakti: activate by intention A powerful shakti for physical detoxification run into the whole body by intention. Helps remove

toxins. This works on the most recent toxins first. Do not amplify this shakti; run for no more than ten minutes daily or every other day. Can be used for self and others. Can be used to charge drinking water. Does not work to detoxify food prior to ingestion. Aka Cords AKA is the Hawaiian Huna word for the energy substance which surrounds us and connects us to each other. Our contact and interactions with others creates cords of aka material. These cords are how information and Mana (the life force and energy) travel. All contact whether in the physical or on another level involves the exchange of threads of aka material or energy. Ongoing relationships will build cords. Energy and information is exchanged along these cords and connections. Where the cords are locked in has a lot to do with the quality of the relationship. Your aka cords to and from your high and lower selves and spiritual sources are also how you receive information, send prayers, convey and receive healing. Aka is like "cosmic taffy " because it is sticky and stretches. Some of the cords we create can dissipate our energy or keep us locked into negative relationships. Aka cords can become tangled and distorted. Other cords support loving and spiritual relationships. For example, when a romantic relationship deepens into lasting love, many of the threads of the Aka substance weave themselves into strong cords which enhance the connection and flow of energy between the people involved. If a relationship ends abruptly, a lot of the pain is from the tearing or severing of the aura cords. Other grief and loss also is a symptom of cord severing or tearing. When you do become aware of a negative connection to a person or event or some negative emotional or mental condition, instead of pulling it out or cutting off the cords, run the mental clearing shakti to assist the process of cord release and removal. You can also fill your aura with Mana (the Huna Healing Shakti will work for this) while holding the intention that all the energy connections that do not serve your highest good be returned to their owners and that you release any of your own energy cords and connections and retrieve and absorb them back into your own being. Some people like to visualize this energy being cleaned and charged as it returns. Sometimes people who were involved in negative or obsessive relationships will feel the cords just kind of pop off during this meditation or treatment and suddenly they have a completely different outlook on the relationship. 15. Huna Healing Shakti (level 1): activate by intention This is the general all purpose healing energy of this system which may be used hands on or off for self and others and for the environment and situations. This all purpose shakti can be used hands on or off in person and over distances. If you do not direct the shakti it will work on etheric, emotional and mental energy bodies simultaneously. Activate by intention (think OHuna for example) This shakti is particularly effective for emotional healing and may be used in combination with shakti from other energy work systems (e.g., Reiki). Many energy work systems tell you to never work for others without specific permission.Huna considers us to all be interconnected and there is less restriction on offering energy to others. You are never to attempt to impose your will on others. However you may offer the energy or beam them into an area to help provide an ambient atmosphere conducive to peace, calm, mental clarity, healing etc. Kahi Healing Technique Place the fingers tips of one hand with the fingers and thumb held together on or near the area that needs treatment or rebalancing or the Ao nearest to that and the fingers of the other hand on another Ao or on the crown, heart, or one of the four corners of shoulders and hips, as far away from the other place as is comfortable. Chakra or other power spots may also be used. (The

9

Huna Empowerments

Peggy Jentoft 2004

perineum, pubic bone and tail bone are also Huna power spots but are not used in Kahi.) One hand is on or near the place that needs rebalance in one way or another and the other on one of the Ao or other power spots of the body, usually as far away, but still comfortable as possible. You are to switch your attention back and forth between these two points. With continued practice you will be able to maintain focus on both areas at one time. Think of them as one unit or a bridge between the energy source and the area being treated. Run the Huna healing shakti while doing Kahi to greatly enhance the effectiveness of treatments. This technique can be used with any shakti. You may also use your finger tips or whole hand. Breathe slowly and deeply to help with the focus. 16. Harmonizing the Three Selves Attunement: activate by intention This facilitates the harmonization and communication between the three selves The three parts of the attunement can be activated in any order but the one given is the way the attunement is set up to be most effective activate each segment by intention. Harmonize the lower and middle selves (Unihipili and Uhane) Harmonize the middle self and the High self (Uhane and Aumakua) Harmonize the High self with the lower self (Aumakua and Unihipili) Each segment usually runs about 2 minutes when you begin doing this and may become faster over time. You may feel energy movement internally as you do this; just let it happen. The Three Selves The concept of the three selves is a central part of Huna. Evolving understanding of the high self includes more of what in Euro-Western tradition is considered external spiritual elements, as gods and spiritual forces are sometimes called the fourth self. The Lower Self: The unconscious, subconscious self where the emotions reside. This is the shadow and is the part that gathers the Mana, the power that is used to create. The lower self is where the emotions and memory are. It is illogical; it forms literal deductive conclusions. The Lower Self is the seat of the conscience, depends on the 5 physical senses and is able to use telepathy. The Middle Self: The conscious reasoning rational self. This self is fully conscious and reasoning but is not the seat of memory. In the Huna view, it has imagination and will and instructs the conscience. The Middle Self is the ordinary part, the day to day mundane self. It is also the only part that can do wrong (sin) and the only wrong Huna acknowledges is to willfully cause pain or hurt to a person, being, another including oneself. The High Self : The super conscious, the God-self or soul. The High Self brings all desired things into reality. The High Self is trustworthy and wise. It has intuitive Knowing of the past, present and the fixed part of the future and possibilities. The High Self communicates with the Higher Powers and other High Selves. This self is what manifests your prayers and thought forms into reality. The most important thing is that the three parts work together in harmony, that they be strongly connected and able to communicate with each other. When the three selves are in perfect harmony, that is when our lives go beautifully and when seeming miracles happen. Our goal then, from our conscious thinking middle self is to become aware of and harmonize our higher and lower selves with our middle self.

10

Huna Empowerments

Peggy Jentoft 2004

This is at the center of many Huna practices. This union of the selves results in an incredibly alive and energized participation in daily life. You may find that this does work even without the attunements some schools use. When you listen to and feel for the harmonies within and conflicts among your three selves, you will become able to know where your internal conflicts are and gain insight into the ways you interfere with your own dreams, goals, and highest good. 17. Heart Of The Sun Attunement: activate by intention An attunement to facilitate connection with the spiritual Heart of the Sun and the practice of The Heart Of The Sun Meditation The sun is more than just the physical ball of gas that lights and heats our world. It is a spiritual center of great power on the non physical planes. Connecting with the Heart Ao center of the Sun and the Solar Aumakua/Logos can be a Powerful Accelerator to your spiritual evolution. This exercise to connect with the Heart of the Sun is found in many forms within many traditions and is a well published Buddhist and western esoteric practice as well as in Kahuna traditions. It is recommended that you do this once daily if possible. The Heart Chakra of the Sun is the High emotional center of this guardian of the Solar System. The Heart of the Sun Meditation Sit or lie down in a quiet space. Visualize yourself inside the heart of the Sun. You may maintain the visualization for 10 to 15 minutes. When your mind wanders, gently bring your attention back to the visualization. The clarity of your visualization is not important; just maintain the focus. You may feel energy come in; if you do, it will taper off in about 10 minutes. Some people report feelings of lightheadedness and disorientation the first few times they do this. This is very rare and quite short term when it does happen. 18. Cross of Fire Attunement And Procedure: activate by intention This attunement enhances your awareness of the Ao and your work with the Cross of Fire and opens some of the Ao channels if appropriate.

The Cross of Fire The Cross of Fire (also the Cross of light or Cross of Gods) may be familiar to us as a common motif in Hawaiian art and crafts with many variations, this being four crosses around a central cross. Different patterns of these crosses have different meanings many of which may have been lost. The crosses around the outside here symbolize the highest of the energies of the four

11

Huna Empowerments

Peggy Jentoft 2004

elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air- the cross in the center is Spirit. This is just the simplest of multiple layers of meaning. This fairly simple symbol contains hidden and revealed layers upon layers of the teachings at the center of Huna. The energies and information symbolized by this figure represent a guide to understanding the Universe and humanity's part in it. The Cross of Fire is so central to the Huna philosophy of life and to the Huna system of Self empowerment and creation that it might be considered to be at the core of Huna teachings. I will begin the explanation at the entry levels. Huna is aware of many energy centers including the AO; different schools of Kahuna teachings do give different energy centers and priorities. I will repeat the caution I was given by some that if you do the Cross of Fire procedure, you do it as given and do not experiment with the various energy channels unless you are clearly guided to do so by your Aumakua, your Huna spiritual guides, and/or ancestors. The exercise is to go around the cross mentally focusing on each Ao energy center for about one minute each, starting at the crown and going around in the order given after doing the left eye go up to the crown a second time back to the left eye to the right eye and from there to the heart chakra. The energy centers of the Cross of Fire : 1. crown 2. right eye 3. right shoulder 4. right hip 5. perineum 6. left hip 7. left shoulder 8. left eye 9. crown 10. left eye 11. right eye 12. heart Focus your attention on each Ao in turn. You may feel energy run as you do this or you may not. The opening of these energy centers can lead to profound transformation and evolution at all levels of your being. The traditional Huna way of working with the Cross of Fire is to first, teach a procedure and only to explain it after considerable work has been done. You do not physicaly touch the Ao centers.

12

The Ao While many of us are familiar with the chakra centers that run along our central core at the spinal cord, few of us are even aware of the Ao. These energy centers are said to be among the most important of the lost information about the energy body. These centers are said to create and hold the chakra in existence through the tension, interaction and harmony between the centers and to be a representation of a core or primal aspect of ourselves and the universe. The Yin Yang symbol used in the East represents in part the universe held together by the interaction of different polarities. The Cross of Fire represents the grand design of the universes as an interaction of the nine centers or realms of being/Force, the Ao. The Ao centers are located at 1. The crown: top of head - will Divine will, our own personal will and to the guiding force present in all matter, intention. 2. Right eye: center of eye socket- time Time in the abstract, timing or sequence of action, timelessness, real time, the illusion of time 3. Right shoulder: about a quarter of an inch into the body (go over about 2 inches toward the arm from the nipple and up about 1 inch below the collar bone) – venturing.

13

Huna Empowerments

Beginning new actions, entering new realms whether physical, emotional, mental or spiritual. 4. Right hip: center of hip socket-action Usually denotes action in the middle of the period or situation being considered 5. Perineum: (halfway between the anus and the genitals) - anchoring This can refer to ending action but more often refers to taking steps to ensure that the effects of actions are real and lasting. The effect of an action becoming lasting. 6. left hip: center of hip socket - contemplation Meditation in general, consideration and reflection on the actions one has taken 7. Left shoulder: about a quarter of an inch into the body (go over about 2 inches toward the arm from the nipple and up about 1 inch below the collar bone) - appreciation The quality of appreciation in general, especially appreciation of the divine, as well as the appreciation of the results of action taken. 8. Left eye: Harmony/Justice center of eye socket - ho-o-pono-pono Harmony; Justice; Making things right. For beginning purposes refers to divine plan and that human justice should be a reflection of the divine plan, a profound and difficult to translate concept central to Hawaiian Mysticism. I have seen it translated as family therapy and as divine completeness and perfection also. 9. The Heart: the Heart - Love Divine Love, universal love, personal and interpersonal love the qualities that give rise to and emerge from love. 19 a. Gladness La' a Water: activate by intention This attunement gives you the ability to charge water with an energy which will increase your ability to enjoy life. Run the energy into a glass of water for one or two minutes then drink the water. Use one to three times a day. 19b. Gladness Shakti Attunement: activate by intention This attunement allows you to run the La'a gladness energy as a shakti for self and others Blessing, the Aloha spirit In the Hawaiian language, aloha stands for much more than just "hello" or "love." Its deeper meaning includes "the joyful (oha) sharing (alo) of life energy (ha) in the present (alo)." The Aloha Spirit is a secret for attaining true health, happiness, prosperity and success. This is the most powerful tool for happiness and manifestation; The secret is to thank and bless and appreciate everyone and anything that you want or have or admire. Water, Fire, Air and Ether. Usually each elemental shakti will run for about one minute each. 22. Ho-o-pono-pono Shakti: activate by intention HO-O-PONO-PONO: harmony, justice, making things right, sometimes Ho-o-pono-pono is translated as family therapy. Energy clearing, resolving disputes, internal healing and resolution of conflicts, aligning yourself with IAO (that that is, Source etc.) The most well known form of Ho-o-pono-pono is a kind of family or community counseling or therapeutic process where problems are worked out and grievances are resolved via negotiation. Many people have commented that it is somewhat like Transactional Analysis or other group therapy and negotiation forms, although it has a spiritual element. This also refers to balancing and making right internal conflicts and correcting wrongs that a person may have done to others. The Ho-o-pono-pono shakti can be a wonderful and powerful healer and spiritual evolution accelerator. It is recommended that you run this daily for 10 minutes or so (or until it shuts off) This shakti will run at the highest appropriate level and should not be amplified. It will not usually run in combination with other shakti and is not appropriate for use with modes, programs, or macros. While this shakti does not cause detox, it is potentially powerful at promoting the awareness and gentle release of energies and blocks regarding issues relating to wrongs and resentments and other imbalances, and you may notice significant changes. You may run this for your self or for others with permission, but it is most effective for self. 23. Huna Soul Fusion Set: activate by intention Activate by intention; runs to completion by itself. Each time your mind starts to wander, gently bring it back to the area of desired focus. Observe it with your entire being. Your initial goal is to maintain the focus for 10 seconds. Do this anytime it occurs to you to do it. Breathe deeply while you are are maintaining your focus. 25. Individualized Energy Work: activate by intention Five to ten minutes of individualized energy work from Kahuna Aumakua (spiritual source) may be requested daily for self only.
